Hi megan (ok to call you this?), I am sorry you are feeling down. One of the symptoms of depression could be frequent tension headaches. Other symptoms could be insomnia, loss of appetite or the opposite, crying easily, losing your temper easily over things you normally wouldn't. Also, not feeling up to doing your daily normal things even like toothbrushing, bathing, washing hair etc.. These are the symptoms I used to have when I was depressed and I also smoked alot then. If this has lasted more than a week, do find someone to talk to or seek professional help. I wish you all the best. You can message me if you need to talk. Take care, I hope you feel better soon.

I agree with many of the other posts - everyone is different. But changes in habit, such as sleeping too much or insomnia, eating alot or not at all, can be an indication of depression.
If your doctor won't help you, you should find a different doctor. If you are unable to change doctors, maybe you could find a therapist to discuss your problems with. A therapist could help you decide if you need to be medicated and give you the name of a psychiatrist. A good therapist can be a lot of help.

Well, Sweet, there are a lot of Signs and it affects everyone different. I withdraw in myself, I go quiet, burst into tears for no reason, feel as though someone is tightening everything inside me, I don't want to do anything and all I want to do is sleep, shut out the World. That is my reaction and it can last for Days sometimes Weeks, I have got like this since I was bullied out of my Job. I also suffer with Panic attacks but that is due to my Illness as I really Panic when my Breathing goes and I feel as though my Lungs are being closed of. If you feel that you are going into depression, please go and see your Doctor.
Hugs to you

We're on the same boat, my friend. If i may ask, what was the reason of your depression? .. yes u-r right, headache can be one of the symptoms also. On my part, i'm having some digestive problems from time to time, too much thinking of it that makes me really sad, hopeless and my energy level is so down, i hardly concentrate on things i do cause i'm not inspired and i do lack interest on it, i'm irritated over some little things.. Are you experiencing this too? ...
... I'm 3 days delayed for my response. I hope by now you feeling okay and doing the things you normally do. . I'm hanging on. You too okay? .. Remember, you are not alone. (",)

megan if you suspect that you're depressed you should be looking for help as we speak. Depression is one of the most common illnesses nowadays, and there is nothing embarassing with it at all...it can occur for the most diverse causes, and if it's properly dealt with it disappears....i'd find help.

As a person who has been diagnosed with depression, I can help you out with this question. Some signs that I experienced were: feeling tired all the time and always sleeping, losing or gaining a lot of weight suddenly, feeling lonely all the time, avoiding people and flying off the handle for no good reason. Everyone experiences different kinds of symptoms and it wouldn't hurt to get checked out by a doctor. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Some of the signs is a disruptive sleeping pattern, change in appetite, not finding enjoyment in things you once loved. Basically, a lack of joy that goes on for weeks.

I agree with your other responses that depression symptons are different in everyone, headaches, moodswings, spontaneous crying! Along with the exercise someone else suggested try having abit of 'me' time if you can - even if it's a soak in a bubble bath for half an hour of a face mask. I've found that helps just once a day for a little boost or even do something 'nice' for someone else, you would be suprised how much of a lift it gives you! Good luck *hug for you*

I think you could benefit from seeing this movie that is free and full time 1 1/2 hour but really worth to see.
Even if half of what thy say is true, it is a revolution for our thinking. It is not only about making money, but how to deal with life in common and especially our thoughts that can affect us more than we can imagine.
So, go ahead and see it, you can stop it and take a break now and then and then go back again. I have seen it twice and I am going to see it at least once again.

Some, who are depressed are having sever headache, dont want to eat, they wanted to be alone, thinking of things that make them depressed, some are eating too much, some are crying alone because they dont want that others will know their problem..if your depress, you need to have a friend or you mom or dad to talk to, because it can relieve your baggages inside your heart and it can really help..
