Which anime got you hooked?

been watching anime off and on these past few years, but what really hooked me (literally in the first 5 minutes) was Fruits Basket. i must have watched this 3 or 4 times already

I love cartoons and anime.But i never get hooked like crazy until i watch Naruto.This is not love at first sight but after several episode i cannot stop watching it.Masashi Kishimoto is a genius.Naruto not only enjoyable to watch but also there are lessons to be learnt.Naruto change me in many good ways.Then Fullmetal Alchemist.Love them!

Sailor Moon is my first anime. wehehe I fall in love with Ami Mizuno ^^ I saw it when I was at elementary school. ^^ but I become crazy with B'T x anime at 1999. ^^ thats my eternal favorite anime. wehehehhe

The first anime I remember seeing was Akira, and I hated it with a passion. In fact, I wasn't really into anime until much later, when I met my current husband. His friends all watched loads of anime, and I think the first one I really remember watching with them was Ranma 1/2. I thought it was hilarious, and I've been an anime fan ever since.

i watched sailor moon also but i had no idea it was an anime because i was still in elementray school. then after that i stopped watching anime until last summer when my brother brought home Bleach and The prince of tennis. i first started to watch Bleach, then after that i just started to watch a bunch of animes! any recommendations?

The first anime I saw was Astroboy. But the anime that really hooked me was Fushigi Yuugi. It is the best anime for me.

The first one I saw was the original Vampire Hunter D. I caught it one Halloween night on TNT or something and let it stay on the channel. That was it, I was hooked. I'd never seen anything like it - this was back in the late 80s when anime really wasn't well known over here. I didn't have much of a range to pull from - I grabbed Akira and Heavy Metal and some other classics until there was more out. Now I'm getting my hands on as much as I can as it comes out.

first anime huh?... don't remember very well but the best anime suya ever watch is Full Metal Panic Funoffu. Then suya start to love Ah! Megami Sama : Sorezore no Tsubasa and Hachimitsu to Clover II

i also got hooked on Sakura when i was a kid. but now, im hooked on Full Metal alchemist, and anything that has Sakura Kinomoto in it!

For me the first anime i got hooked is ghost fighter. Because I like the drawing, the characters and the story about friend ship, love and how they fight. And right now I am hooked by inuyasha how will they be able to defeat naraku and will their love story of kagome be a happy ending.

i got hooked up with fushigi yuugi, flame of recca and inuyasha... i dunno, maybe because i was just an anime lover. lolz

Ooh, I started out when I just starting high school with Card Captor Sakura -- pretty innocent considering some of the stuff I've seen since... Heck, to this day I'm still hooked on CCS, despite the fact that it ended years ago... I just have to get my fix from fanfiction.net instead!

As an infant/toddler it was Starblazers. As a young kid, the combined efforts of Urusei Yatsura, its counterpart Ranma 1/2, Akira, Fight! Iczer-1, Original Mobile Suit Gundam, Macross, Ronin Warriors and King Arthur Knights of the Round all got me into it. I know I'm forgetting others, but it was a good number of them. It was something to see all of those things. I spent a nice amount of time following these and eventually discovering other anime.

sailor moon, ftw! :) i remember the first time i watched it. i woke up early in the morning. i was home on a school day, i think it was a holiday or something. and i saw this new "cartoon" on tv. at the end i was blown away. it was so different from the other "cartoons" i'd seen. it wasn't until a little later when i got the internet for the first time that i found out it was an anime. and i've been hooked since. till this day, 13 years later, i'm pulled back to watch sailor moon once in a while. the latest i've watched was the live action and sailorstars season, both of which i haven't finished yet. now i want to start watching again...

sailormoon got me hooked also on anime. although it wasnt the first anime that i've watched. i've seen dragonball and voltes v then. i really loved sailormoon coz it was the first bishoujo anime that i've watched and the anime genre was kinda new at that time. it was the first anime showed teenage girls as super heroes and remain pretty even after getting badly beaten in battle. ^__^;; plus they have cool super powers and cool magical thingies. i love their brooches especially sailormoon's. after sailormoon i started watching every anime that was shown in our local tv stations. i also started collecting anime stuff particularly stickers. and then after a few years, i started buying audio and vcd/dvds. ^__^;; until now i still love anime though im not able to watch tv regularly anymore. ^__^

I fell in love with Samurai Deeper Kyo. After that was, Gokusen, Mirage of Blaze, and Saiyuki Reloaded. I am brand new to anime (last few months). I have to admit that I always just thougt it was for kids. Now, I'm hooked!

The first anime I ever watched was Oh! My Goddess, and that's the one that got me hooked. I thought it was super cute, especially the interaction between the three sisters, since I have two sisters of my own. :)

The first one? I think it was Speed Racer... but I was too small. The one I really got in love was Yamato (Star Blazers), I was a little older I could understand better.

It's when I watched Naruto... the first time I saw it, I spent the whole day without getting off on my seat... I really love naruto... It's the best anime I've seen... the coolest...
