I have a GREAT banana split recipe. Banana, of course, and french vanilla ice cream, the really rich kind. Pineapple, peanut butter, chocolate for the toppings, and nuts on top makes my tummy satisfied for the next month!!!

Our household LOVES bananas, so we buy them weekly. When the last few get ripe I always make a loaf of banana bread and freeze it until someone needs to take something to work or wants a snack at night (warmed up with butter is how we like it).

My Favorite Banana Bread

1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup mashed banana (1 large)
3 tbsp chopped walnuts (optional)
Combine shortening and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, add to creamed mixture alternately with banana. Fold in walnuts, if desired.
Transfer to loaf pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 325 for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack to cool.

I usually take all of my old bananas (the blacker the better!) and make banana bread or muffins... it's a great way to use them up...
Here's a basic recipe:2 cups flour (I usually use wheat flour and oat flour (oatmeal ground up!) and whole oatmeal mixed)
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter (I usually use applesauce instead of 1/2 of the butter)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs (beaten)
2 1/3 cups mashed bananas (or however many you have)
1 tsp vanilla extract
optional - walnuts, extra banana chips, cinnamon, coconut flake
1) spray with non-stick spray and sprinkle a bit of flour into loaf pan. preheat overn to 350 degrees.
2)Cream butter (and applesauce if you use it) and sugar. beat in the remaining wet ingredients - eggs, banana.
3) Mix in the dry ingredients (and any optional mix ins). Do not overbeat the batter.
4) pour into pan and bake about 60 minutes or until the top is brown and a split appears down the middle.
5) take out and cool on rack. banana bread is BEST when left to rest over night.
Enjoy!

I like banana que or grilled banana. That's one of our filipino food. I miss them all here. I would like to make a banana que but I have to look for the kind of banana I need. I haven't seen them yet yet so far. I might just eat this stuff when we I fly to the Philippines for vacation.

My receipe is like yours. So, may I offer another alternative to pudding? You'll love it. Take your over ripe bananas, and freeze them in their skins. When you get in the mood for ice cream, take them out of the freezer, peel, add some milk and vanilla, and whip well. It is so good. You can have it like that, or put whipped cream and topping of your choice on it.

I love bananas with custard and I also like bananas with yoghurt. bananas have a lot of goodness in them and many people just eat them as they are, so mixing them with other kinds of fruit at the same time gives them a completely different taste.
