After seeing my earnings for yesterday I'm more convinced than ever

that myloy wants total participation. For those of you that are here more for earnings than just participating and having fun here are a few tips to getting maximum earnings. Yesterday I posted 30 quality responses and received 2 best responses and I earned .71, I believe this could have been increased even more had I posted a couple of quality discussions and uploaded a few photos. I believe that mylot is looking for full participation for maximum earnings. In the past when I have responded to approx 30 discussions, gotten 2 best responses, uploaded a few photos and 2 quality discussions with a good amount of responses to them I have received between $1.75 and $1.96.
What have you noticed that has made significant differences in your earnings in a day?

yeah mylot does want everyone to participate fully.. i would do the same thing, but i just dont have the time to fully participate.. im just enjoying mylot and responding and posting topics.. i like how people always respond and gives me advice on things i cant figure out.. so im not really here to just make money, im here mostly to give and receive thoughts and information from others. but referrals also help a lot with the money..

Thank you for the compliment, it is sometimes hard to find time here, but better a few quality posts than just trying to post as many 1 liners as you can. :)

Getting best responses probably added to my earnings more than anything else. I still think that it's darn near impossible to make any realy money here. Posting 30-50 responses would not be so bad if it were not almost impossible to find that many discussions that held any interest. That takes a long, long time and it really isn't worth it.

I agree also and am hoping that with a few of these types of discussions on higher earnings, that people will continue to hear that quality and full participation will get you further here than uploading 20 to 30 new discussions a day of nothingness, and running around responding to 100 different discussions with a few words of giberish that doesn't perain to the discussion is pointless.
I agree that best responses do seem to increase the earnings here, but alot of the people here won't ever get best response because of their low quality of participation.
I to have a hard time finding discussions on certain days, not always because of low quality but because I don't know anything about what they are talking about. I do have to admit though that I have to wade through a tremendous amout of just plain garbage, sorry I mean no offense but it's true, to find some discussions to respond to.

Thank you. I am new to this (my first day really) and I suspect that this isn't really worth it. I just ate a $20 pizza and I see people bragging about making $14 bucks after DAYS?
Give me a break. Give me a drawing pad and a tin cup. I can make more in twenty minutes. Though I know it's not just about the money for most (at least I hope).

I´ve heard from other users that getting "best responses" and also + ratings help to increase your earnings. Also rating the answers to your discussions makes you earn more.
Each image that you upload is worth 1 cent (this might have changed by now).
I´ve given up trying to work out the myLot earnings. I think only the site´s staff really knows how much everything we do is worth. Some people say, that people with a high star rating earn more, but I´m not sure about that either.
Have a nice day.

Yes it does seem to be true. On the days that I have had discussions going and rated them and commented back even, my earnigs were higher. On the days that I have uploaded pics I got .02 or .03 cents a piece for them. I uploaded the pics into interests that had no pics. So that might also be something to think about. If a certain interest has lots of pics find another interest, just make sure that the pics go with the interest. In my case they were Disneyland pics. It also could have to do with the fact that on the days that I uploaded pics I was fully participating that day, maybe everything gets higher earnings when you do that. I have no idea really, just looking for more incentives for people to want to contribute more qualtiy work here. So we don't have to wade through so much garbage. :)

I don't have time to fully participate on a daily basis but I think you have offered some great advice. I do try to rate all that reply to my discussions I have started and read and rate others with the free time that I have.

Mostly I just rate to the discussions that I actually respond to, unless it was one that I was going to respond too, but eveyone had already said the same thing that I was going to say then those I rate I just don't respond. I do rate all of my discussions even after they have a best response picked. I get the email notification and I then go and rate that response.

Well yesterday I responded to about fifty discussions and earned $1.36. I have noticed a lot of fluctuation, sometimes I will answer as many in one day as I do the next yet there's a huge decrease in my earnings the second day. I think mylot definitely wants full participation and I don't think they want us to know exactly what the pay is because it will make it harder for them to monitor. I do not believe they can actually read all the responses here so I believe it's some computer generated thing and based on either the number of lines of text or the number of words this is what the pay is. I assume the computer says what it's worth to us and that's the pay we receive, however when the staff at mylot get a chance to look over the responses and the discussions they can tell whether or not they are quality ones and then work on deleting from there.

It looks like there's no definite method. they just want us to keep posting. If their profit formula is known, some people might try to exploit it.

I haven't noticed anything that I can pinpoint that helps me . Some days I recieve more then the day before but don't feel that I did anything different .
I have given up trying to figure out how we get paid because I just don't think we are ever going to know for sure but it neat when someone comes up with an idea that we can check out .
I will have to just watch and see if I do get paid more when I get a best response . Thanks for the tip .

I have noticed fluctuation in the earnings, mostly I've noticed this on my participation level. Just looking to give those that are wanting to increase their earnings more positive reasons to do quality posting here than quantity. I figure that discussions like this could possibly be enough of an incentive for some to change. :)

that is true... it seems like mylot fluctuates the payment... its really difficult to see how they pay.. but i think thats the beauty of this.. i think thats what they want. so no one will be able to figure out what to do so they can just keep participating.. i think mylot is giving money away just a motivation to post and reply... but when you think about it.. do you ever think about the money when you are replying to someone's topic? or when you are making a topic? i dont..

I think you are right. If everyone would realize this then MyLot would be full of a lot more quality posts than quantity posts. I think it is silly to try to figure out exactly how they pay, but just always keep quality and complete participation in mind.
If you follow the rules, start quality discussions, comment on responses to your discussions, respond with quality posts, use the rate and report buttons, choose best responses to your discussions, keep your profile updated, and upload relevant pictures to discussions, you will be rewarded.

Absolutely true. Was hoping that even if a few new people see posts like this that maybe it will encourage them to work on the quality of what they do here instead of how much I can do in my short time here. Wouldn't it be nice though to be able to come on here and see more quality than quantity? That's what I hope to gain out of discussions like this.
As for the earnings I stopped trying to figure out how much for each, but do enjoy trying to figure out what they are looking for by using my earnings as a guage. :)

LOL, mylot likes to keep us in the dark on how to earn. I try to post on 30 or so discussions a day, some days are good and some are bad. I honestly feel it has a lot to do with where you post. I'll post on your discussions because I see that you actually respond to the comments. Some people start discussions and never respond, it gives me the impression that my comment will never be rated. They are just posting to receive comments and not really looking to participate in a discussion. It's just a theory! I usually earn about a $1.oo a day.

Thank you, I like to respond to people who reply and I like to try and get a little conversation going. I do agree that I feel the same way that my post isn't rated especially when I ask a question that doesn't even get answered. I to have my favorites that I like to post at and they are generally the ones that respond back to my posts. Best of luck to you here at my lot.

Well, I started discussions, and I realize I earn more now because I respond more with thought, rate, respond to those that respond to me, then a friend or two, and I rate. So Yup-there was such a difference when I did a veriety. But I think answering people is still the big money-but I whether just do that anyway. It's easier for me to reply to people just like in real life. I'm not really a conversation starter. So I start it out that way and if I get inspired by a topic, or get an ideal I'll start a discussion.

That really isn't all that bad almost .02 a post which is what the people that post quality responses say they make. So on that note I will say keep up the good work. Remember quality is most important here.

Thank you, well i've begun to understood how this website works now. My earnings were a bit low the next day i had about 10 posts and .10 increase for the day.
Today i had a bigger goal to reach and have started a discussion.
Hoping for a better earning rate but nevertheless its become more fun to do activity now than just posting for moolah.

ya by seeing your star rating itself we can understand that you have taken mylot very seriously. But what to you differentiate has a quality discussion. I have seen many discussion here but they are not really discussion or something which you debate on or have a discussion. Most of the discussion created are just to get response. I have noticed this on majority of mylot user. The key here is to get the best response then ....again i notice user give best response among the 1st three responses they get! plssssss guide......

Some people jump to give the best response as soon as they stop receiving responses, others just give it away for no apparent reason. It really should be based on the best reply and nothing else. Each person though is entitled to give to whomever they want.
There are alot of discussions that are in violation of the guidelines these will get deleted by mylot and if you post in them you will end up loosing money when they reconcile. So far I have seen them reconcile twice since I've been here and I haven't been here but about 4 weeks.
Quality would be staying on topic and making your posts no less than 3 to 4 lines long or longer. Hope this helps, good luck here at mylot!

Yes they are looking for quality postings and discussions, not just a one liner or a nonsense type of reply. I know that when I upload a picture I get more, at least I think I do. I try to participate as much as I can, but sometimes one just can't do it all.

I uploaded pics last night and for the first time I only received .01 for all 10 pics I have noidea what I did before I had received .02 for each pic, does it mater if the pics get rated? I wonder.
I'm just hoping for more quality discussions to be started so that I don't have wade through so much non sense stuff. :)

I've never really tried to figure out what gets the most earnings, but I do know that the most I got in one day was when everyone was saying they lost alot of earnings...mine went up over $1 and I'd only posted a few replies that day.
I wonder if it depends on the site's earnings, and how many posts total are made by all members, and alot of other factors. There is probably some complex formula to it. Easier to just post when I feel like it, and if I get paid more, great, lol.
But I think the most I've ever posted in a day was 20 or so posts. I think I spend more time reading through replies, and then deciding that I don't have anything to say on that topic!

I spend alot of time reading thru discussions and all the responses and when I'm done I find that most of the time I have nothing left to contribute to the discussion and move to the next. So I know exactly what your saying. The earnings system is very complex and we won't ever figure it out but it's interesting to make the speculations as to what factors in. :)

My earnings fluctuate, but mainly it is like 2 cents per post. One day I got a bonus and a couple days later they deducted from me so I am not sure. I just try to do the best I can and I am very happy with what I have received so far. I'm glad you are doing well. Keep up the good work.

I have been into the habit of posting responses to topics offered for discussions. I have not yet started any new discussion of my own. I do not feel like embarking on it yet. Hence, my earnings are picking up very slow. Until now, I still feel just like sharing my thoughts and ideas with people rather than getting some for my own. Somehow, I have given some thought about starting to really open up here in mylot. Generating a new discussion is indeed another level for me. A much higher level of opening up. Thanks for sharing your techniques of earning it better and faster.
