Wooohooo great to see my car is not in the top ten, I have a Nissan Almera and obviously Nissan's are not on their wish list, so either that's a good sign or a bad sign because they don't think Nissan is worthy of being stolen, no street cred in Nissan stealing no doubt! Thankfully, touch wood I've never had my car stolen, broken into yes, but never actually stolen. Mind you I've had a mini, ford fiesta ghia and now my beloved Nissan, so I guess I choose right when it comes to buying cars!

Thank goodness my car is not on that list, although that doesn't mean it couldn't be stolen. My husband has his Opel Kadett stolen twice. At the time it was also on the list of the top stolen cars. It was used on one occasion to try to ram a police officer. We got it back each time, but we sold it and bought a new one after that.

Fortunately, I have not had my car stolen and am glad to see that mine is not in that list either. I remember years ago that Hondas were stolen the most as they were easy to break into and steal. My sister, while she was living in CA, had her car stolen once and it was recovered but it was damaged very badly. I think her car was a Honda but can not remember as it was a long time ago.

Knock on wood not yet and hope never. Of course I can see my car isn't on the top ten so that makes me feel a bit better, LOL.

Old Red Car - The car wasn't really that important
Does it count if it was my son and one of his friends that stole my car? It counted to me! It would have not been so bad if they wouldn't have wrecked it and not told me about it. I went so far as reporting it to the police. The police found it a few days later and my son confessed. It's funny Chriss, now that he's gone I can laugh at some of the goofy things he and his friends did. I guess it's because no matter what kind of crap he got into, he always got caught (and he could make the best grilled cheese sandwich in the world). I really miss him.~Donna

My husband had his car stolen once, it was around 7 years ago and was a Ford Escort Mk 3! The strange thing was, after it was taken it was set alight nearby, litterally 5 minutes walk down the road. Perhaps some cars are easier to break into, which is why they have made the top ten. Incidentally, the car we use now is also a Ford Escort (we never learn........lol) Around a year ago, we had noticed the passenger lock had been tampered with, the lock looked like it had been drilled and also tampered with a screw driver.

My car is not on the list but maybe it would be on the Soccer Mom's list of most wanted vehicles. I have a Ford taurus station wagon, which is great for driving around a lot of screaming kids. It came in real handy when having to take my girl scout troop places. We have had a vehicle stolen once and it really sucked. My husband was all set up to take his dirt bike out. The bike was in the back of our Toyata 4 wheel drive pickup. The truck was like an 82, but it was lifted and some extra stuff on it, and it had a very popular motor. Anyways, it was in our driveway, just waiting for him to get up and go off, but when he got up and went outside it was not there. It was really sad because we not only lost the truck be also the dirt bike, which was actaully worht more than the truck. It turns out that someone had seen him driving it and decdied they wanted it so they followed him home and then came onto our property and stole it. The truck was eventually recovered but it was months after we had settled with the insurance company. the bike was never found. It was a horrible experience and it sure brought out the worst in my husband. I really don't want to go through that again.

No, I've never had a car stolen .. or even broken into .. and being absolutely truthful I did once leave an old car in the middle of a big town .. keys in the ignition .. just hoping someone would take it away for me and save me the cost of scrapping it .. 3 days later it was still there .. DOH!! I don't know anyone who has had a car stolen or broken into either .. which is I suppose quite remarkable seeing how often it happens .. Have to say I am quite surprised at the cars on the list .. all rather boring and quite mumsy some of them .. I'd have thought it would be a list of higher end of the market cars ..

This doesn't sound like it's very up to date does it? You hardly see any of these cars on the road now - or does that mean they have all been stolen lol? Well mine hasn't made it onto the list so thats cool. Although thinking about it I did have quite a nice Orion back in the 80's and someone tried to steal that!
