Do you think it's fare that if we don't log on one day we don't get paid?

At first my thought was, well we didn't add to the site so why should we get paid BUT this isn't true. While I was absent a few days most all of my discussions continued to provide a place to hold discussions yet I didn't move on cent. I'm not technically complaining, because in all honesty i'm quite happy to have the opportunity to just get anything from MyLot and they've been good with providing. But it is a little one sided when you think about it.

Is it true that you don't earn money if you don't log in for the day, even if people are contributing to your discussions? Is that in the rules somewhere? It seems to me that Mylot's payment system is often a bit behind schedule... maybe because they're taking time to verify that answers are valid? I notice some days when I get a lot of answers I get less money than I expected for that day, but then it'll show up the next day. I never really log out of Mylot. The last time I logged in was back in November, and have been logged in the whole time since.

Let me ask you something, if you decide not to go to work one day, would just get paid for that day by not going and not doing anything to deserve it? Well it's the same in Mylot. If you don't login in here for a day, do not excpect that you'kk earn something from it, unless you have referrals doing a bit of the job.

But the difference is that my work here continues to make a difference as my discussions continue to be logged into and commented on. I understand what you're saying but this isn't a "paid by the hour" site, it's a paid by use of your input site. And as I said, I really can't complain because they don't HAVE to pay any of us... but I was a bit disgusted to see nothing had changed.

Actually when I decide I dont want to go to work and call in sick, I still get paid. Or if I decide to take a vacation of Personal day, I still get paid. Hee Hee And yes I deserve a day off extra at my job.

well, for me it is fair enough... if i didn't do anything to this site and i don't even log in, i don't think i should be paid for it... for me, i believe i have to earn every single cent as there is no such thing as free money in this world... and honestly, i am quite happy with what they are paying me considering the amount of time i spend here which is very little...

O my God. I sent u plenty of replies yesterday but u did n't get a single cent. Ohhhhhhhhh. So sad. I am sure that u must get few cetns for it. I too sometimes do n't login on mylot for days but when i come back and if someone've responded me then i get money for it. Actually, mylot does n't give us money in free bcuz its just like a job where u get money only for work and only for that amount of work for which u work.

i never considered this. i assumed i would not get paid anything if im not logged on . why should i ?im not sure if you get paid for how many answers you get to a post or if you just get one answer. theres a lot of confusion but as long as i make a few dollars i dont mind.

Oddly one day I didn't contribute at all but still earned 1c from a discussion. I think that you should earn money if people are looking at discussions you started as if people didn't start them then there would be no site at all.

I'm still not sure that we get paid for people answering our discussions so technically if you don't write something you don't get paid. Is that wrong?

I think she knows that, she is just saying it would be nice if we got paid something for people responding to our discussions. Which I agree. Because after all if you did not start a discussion, there would not be anything there to respond too, right?

I think we should stop complaining cause MyLot is paying us and we should be happy about it. By the way has anyone gotten payed by MyLot yet? or is it just a plain scam?

I was under the impression that we earned not for the responses but for posting our comments after them. Anytime I spent a day posting comments after my responses I noticed an increase in my earnings. I could be wrong. It is so difficult to know what is what here on myLot.

Yes, but you are logged in so people answering it does make a difference. I haven't been logged in for 2 days and it showed up the same $ as the last I logged on. I didn't expect a huge gain but I knew people had continued to talk amongst my discussions so I figured SOME movement would be there. But nope! So unless you do log in, which face it most of us do log in if even for a few minutes each day, you won't see any change.

I didn't know that-- I haven't gone one day without it since I joined. You would think that if your discussions are getting new responses then you would get paid- Maybe that money goes towards the next time you log in. Somehow it's set up that you have to log in to have your money move. I really don't know-- I haven't figured out what you do get paid for and what you do not.. But really its ok because it is just extra money...

Yeah, I never really paid any attention until now and probably wouldn't have noticed how much I moved other than I recalled it was the same as the last time I came on, 3 days ago! LOL Like you said, just glad I get something.

You stil get paid from your refferals and your discussions don't make you any money anyways ..only when you respond to others discussions do you get paid ... or as far as I haven't gotten paid anyways ... I shouldn't say its for everyone ... I know I have ... sorry ... :(

Oh well... who knows! I may be messed up about the whole payment thing because I've never paid attention anyways since I can't make a difference either way! They pay when and if they want to! lol

System - This is how the system going on. Everything has it's order, to make everything works properly.
I see your point, hockeygal4ever. I guess it's the system. When one didn't response or active in MyLot for that day, one don't make any earnings, except from the referrals. I can argue here, because PROBABLY for the fact; that's just how the system of MyLot is doing.

I guess that is part of the golden rule - he who has the gold makes the rules. I know what you are saying - every one deserves a little sick time or vacation time once in a while.

I did not know this, thanks for the information. Do you loose all your money if you fail to sign in one day?

No, it just doesn't move. No biggie. But still, my discussions continued to provide input. Guess I should just be thankful I have the ability to use the site and get paid! LOL I'll stop complaining!

It is a bit unfair like you post alot one day and then your mom or dad or someone in your family get's very ill or hurt, which causes you not to get on for the next couple of days which you won't get anything from the posts I mean there is one side and another side but I think it's a pretty good idea.

myLot makes its money by showing us banner adds on every page we view - if we don't log on they have no way to make money so they don't pay us. I didn't realise this was the case, it seems fair to me but I'll have to remember to log on every day!

I do not have a problem with not being paid if I am not online for a day or for the days that I am not on here. The people that are active and provide good posts and comments should get paid as this is an active forum. It would be nice if we still got paid but I understand why they do not or could not since we do not know for sure how they are making money themselves to pay all of us.

I thought that it didn't matter how many replies a discussion gets only those that come in during the 24 hour period from when it was posted. I could be wrong on this? Just the way I thought it worked. I do get paid for my referrals if I did not log in, but they contributed on that day. Hmmmm stuff to think about ...

welli dont mind if the earnings do not move if we do not log in.i am a lot thankful for the amount they pay us already.why should they go around paying everyone a lot of money?i thnk if we post discussions and we get paid we should be more than happy and i am sure a lot of us appreciate this and are happy about what mylot provides.

HOW SAD! If you are getting new comments even if thats all YOU SHOULD GET PAID! To not get paid for not logging in is kinda sad. It has NOTHING to do with work. If you arent commenting and thats not pay sure but if you are suppose to earn money on certain things and dont cause you didnt come on. That is totally unfair!

i think through the discussions of many mambers of mylot, mylot has really paid off their members very good. Though it is very slowly when you are still new. You just forget about the earning for all you know you already have dollars. And it will satisfy yourself financially and most of it satisfy your intellectual ability.
