Yes you can make a living on eBay but you have to actually work at it. It is not easy and it takes a lot of time which is why I think most people do it as a hobby or just to get extra income.
There are multiple things that you should do to make a full time income. Of course you need to have great customer service and try to get return customers.
You also need a lot of products and theyneed to be products that people will buy, of course there really is a buyer for just about any product. To make a full time income you will most likely need to list at least 100 auctions a week, but you would be better off listing more than that.
Some people get all their items from thrift stores and yard sales while some use dropshipping. I once worked for a man running all of his eBay auctions and he had a housefull of clothes and shoes that he bought at yard sales and thrift stores. I would list about 25 to 35 auctions a day for him. We did pretty well. It just depends on the products you have.
The best thing to do is to try and get your customers to a website that you own, there are ways to do this but you need to make sure you aren't breaking any eBay rules. ANyways, once you get them to your website you can hopefully sell them higher profit items and get them on your mailing list so you can send things directly to them to buy.
I am working on getting up to a full time income right now and I mostly sell ebooks and whatever I find around my house. I am looking at dropshippers also. I want to get it to where all I sell is ebooks and whatever I can dropship so that I don't have to worry about shipping anything.
It can be done and if you have some creativity you can figure out ways for it to make you even more money than you are making on the auctions.

You can make a living on e-bay. You need to find what products people want. You also need to build a customer base. This might take a while. My son and his fiace still work. They do make over $1000 after paying expenses. They are saving this money for a house. For a stay at home mom this would be a decnt income.
