We tried to find unique names that fit who we are as a family. We didn't want our kids to have boring names. We didn't want to have kids where 57 other kids in their school had the same name. That isn't us, that isn't who we are as a family. I don't judge people based on their names, I don't judge people's baby name decisions. They name their kids what they want to, who am i to say that its a stupid name. Thats the name they chose, thats the name they wanted for their child, maybe its different, so what.

The book of baby names can be a more easy to choose for mothers. It is also fascinating if the names have meanings. Some parents don't consult with such book, they created unique names. The names can be long or short. In my opinion, having a name that is too long can bring troublesome for kids if they will go to school.

My husband and I chose our childrens names on the day they were born. We looked at them and decided on what their names would be. We didn't make a big fuss over names while I was pregnant. Their names just, came to us.
And yes, some people just plain give their kids dumb names. I can't figure out why though.

My boyfriend and I have thought about this topic already and we came to agree that our kid's names could be in a way combined from ours. This is actually a little different from how his parents named him and his younger brother. In their case, his parents and grand parents wanted to name them from a king or queen. But in our case, we wanted to make some twists and I guess it could just be acceptable so long as it wouldn't come out really funny. :)
