There is no doubt that evil exists. I don't think anyone is arguing that. But is it Satan, or not is the question. I am really not sure anymore about a fallen angel called Satan. The Satan to the jews was a messenger from God.
Some say god is good and evil as he is all things therefore satan is as much him as any of his angels. I just am not sure where I stand on this point.

I know that Satan is real. Once you say he doesn't exist you give him room to decieve you. I believe that he wants us to think he doesn't exist. Our power comes from being able to recognize his deception and put him under us. Not letting him into our minds, because if we let satan get into our minds then next it is our hearts. So we have to be very mindful of that fact. We have to do what Jesus did know the scriptures and whenever he tempts us we state the facts that was given by God.

I don't even believe in God let alone Satan.
I think these are characters made up by the church to control people and make them do what they want.

I also heard this but I don't see how on earth they can think this way - if they are Christians they should have surely read the bible and there are several verses discussing Satan -
Luke 10:18 Jesus said to them, "I watched Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
19 I have given you the authority to trample snakes and scorpions and to destroy the enemy's power. Nothing will hurt you.
20 However, don't be happy that evil spirits obey you. Be happy that your names are written in heaven."
I certainly do believe Satan exists! There is too much evil in the world today to list all here but I believe that evil comes from Satan.

evil exists, but all the labels to define it reduce the thing to a specific order of reality and to partial explanations. I would say that there can be several ways of definig evil and different symbolic constructions related to it- the belief in each of these symbolic construcions maby allows to interpret experience and pherhaps to deal with these power(s)...But consider other religions as well, the metter with evil goes far beyond Satan, it might be thousht in many other ways and with many other categories. I personally don't mind of any of them in particular, and I don't belive in one single way to call and define the evil.
what matters is experience and the facts (as you say)- I cannot build up explanations for that and I don't adhere to
any, I just suffer, despise, feel, blame, perceive....

I believe that satan does exist, but I believe that hell does not. Satan is to temp people into sin, however the concept of hell is presumed to have been created in middle ages. The idea of hell was to make people better themselves, but doesn't seem to work anymore. I think satan does exist and he is active but not in ways we can detect.

I believe in the existance of Satan and demonic forces, but I also believe that God is greater and that he has given us, as Christians, the power to defeat them.
