have you evr been called FAT?

When I was about thirteen, my grandma looked at me in my bathing suit and said "You're getting really chubby and you've got stretch marks. You ought to watch what you eat." I was about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 130 lbs, which is a perfectly healthy weight- and most teenage girls get stretch marks as their bodies develop and change shape. But that comment was very damaging to my self-image. Even though I knew in my head that I wasn't fat, I still found myself staring at those stretch marks in the mirror and feeling really ugly. It's comments like that that can push a girl with fragile self-esteem into an eating disorder.

I have been overweight all my life. I have been called fat by many and varied people, and I have learned not to care. I have also started eating better and exercising hoping to get the extra weight off.

I was kind of chubby as a child too, I didn't really think I was fat though. My brother would always call me fat, it hurt a lot especially coming from him, I adored him. Nobody has said it since now that I'm older but it really was a bad feeling , nobody deserves to feel like that.

i had been called fat in my elementary years but it helped me a lot for me to get slim. I was motivated by the names that they called me way back then well who's laughing now...hehehehe

My ex-partner used to call me fat a lot. I did put on weight while I was pregnant and it was tough to get off, but he was much more overweight than I was so it still annoyed me a lot.

Yes, I have. People that I hardly know called me fat. I was offended. I have had family members call me fat. I am actually not very fat anymore because I follow a lifestyle where I control what types of things I eat. However you are right, it hurts a lot especially if it is an issue for you. yes...my sisters used to teased me as fat. but i don't get affected..because i believe i'm not! i'm just chubby but not that fat..130lbs is not that fat!..haler!! when i meet a long time friends..they would say, i get fat but honestly, that really don't bothers me...because i'm not! it's a matter of building confidence..or given that you're fat...you are still human and have the right the same as thin people has...so, don't feel bad...feel to be beautiful all the time.

YEAH, It's really bad though if someone called us something like fat or whatever that could make others feel upset. I think the one who tease us, they just want to play with personal issue what most people don't even like this. sometimes we just have to leave it, if we think or worry too much about crap thing, you would feel really..I couldn't explain how bad it is..but it's real bad though I have been teased by other people like my friends, and the ones who I didn't even know them. I called me something which is I didn't wanna them out here. Of COURSE I REALLY MAD AND HATE WHEN THEY DID LIKE THAT TO ME. U KNOW WHAT I WAS DOING NEXT. I DID NOTHING TO THEM. JUST LET THEM DO THAT TO ME UNTIL THEY GOT BORED BECAUSE I WASN'T TALK AND DO SOMETHING BAD TO THEM, DON'T LET THEM KNOW MY FEELINGS THAT I HATE THEM. That's why. and when I was in primary school, someone they called and teased my father on something which makes me so mad, I couldn't stand with this because of teasing my father, not me. So I just yeah did something hurt and i was so much contented. =) and they never did like that to me again! never ever..=) NOONE WANT SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN TO US. PEACE!!!! Thank you all. ENJOY! Actually I used to be very thin before.Someone else seeing my pity fiture even doubt whether I was my mother's real baby....haha..But now without an exact reason I become very fat.All of my old clothes went to the rubbish.My head also gets a disease because of my fat.I have made up my mind to lose my weight. In fact I don't care whether I'm fat or not.But I do care whether my body's healthy.I think this is the piont.

Yes as a kids I used to be called names and fat a** all that stuff..When I got older I lost so my weight I still thought I was fat. Now that I am older I put on some pounds and now I'm chubby again..It don't really bother me anymore..If they don't like me for me then they don't need to be looking at me...Cause I know I'm a good person and if they have to judge me cause I'm chubby then they have the problem not me...

The worst time for me in my adult life was at my place of employment. I was a Service Manager in a grocery store chain in Chicago area. I was buying something before going home and was in the "express" lane. The two people in front of me were yelling at my checker, saying that she overcharged them on their pizza. They said their pizza was on sale. I said the freezer is right here, let me go check the pricetag. I came back with the pizza that was actually on sale and told them that they were incorrect about the price of their pizza. They both screamed quite loudly, "What the h*ll do you know, YOU"RE FAT"! At first I was shocked, but only for a second. Then I said, "Well I may be fat, but your pizza isn't on sale." They then left the store and didn't buy the pizza. The thing that gets me most upset is how too many people think because I am fat, I am also dumb! I'm not...so there!!! PEACE

I've ever called "Fat" by my friends. And I admit that I'm a rather fat, even maybe Chubby is better for me. Years ago, I was very annoy if someone called me fat. But, after I was Senior High School, it's common for me now. because some of my friends call me "fat" everyday. and I know that they didn't propose to hurt my heart. but only "called name" for me. ^^

I've been called fat on more then one occassion, too many to count actually. Even my own father would make snide comments at times which really he had no room to say anything about anyone's weight. I don't think some realize just how much it can hurt and cut into a person when they say such things to them. How much those words can linger for a long time afterwards and eat away at a person's self-esteem. It would be realy nice if people could just accept each other. If they can't then at least keep their opinions to themselves. I remember being told as a child "if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all". I think many people in our society need to remember that and follow it.

i have been called FAT also during my younger years as i was 9- 11 yrs old then . but as soon as i was starting to have my period it's just an automatic change in my body that i lose the baby fats slowly even without giving myself a diet plans. i think this might be normal for girls at adolescent stage that might just lose weight as soon as they started menstruation but must keep a healthy diet too. healthy means complete protein , enough carbohydrates & fats , with lots of vegetables , fruits & water !

no i've never been called fat by someone else. i call myself fat all the time. no one should put you down even if you were a little chubby. it's not right and it's not their business. it's a hurtful thing to say. plus some meat on the bones is better than being a stick. i don't call anyone fat ever.

Name calling is always horrid the words just don't ever go away!we all come in different sizes and shapes i've never been called fat but have been made to feel ugly by stupid comments. Hold your head up your a beautiful person people are to quick to judge on looks, just don't know why people hurt each other so much or feel they have the right to judge you.

fat was a constant mantra from the other kids when i was growing up. fatso was a name i lived with so i know the feeling...
