Ok then maybe I am of the older generation , AND maybe my grandchildren laugh at the fashions when I and their Grandad were younger , ( the crimpelene suits and winkle picker shoes) but this new fashion of the jeans/trousers down so low you can see their pants just looks so daft to me , My granddaughters do this and they are forever pulling them up ,My eldest granddaughters boyfriend buys his trousers a bigger size so he can wear them low like this too , How can this be comfortable ? do we / did we all suffer to be in fashion ?

LOL lets hope the fashion doesn't last i try wearing a pair of jeans that got under my butt they would end up around my ankles. Year ago our dads would make us pull our skirts down to cover our knees, now a days we're asking our kids to pull trousers and skirts up to cover their behinds, makes me laugh. My daughters catching on to this quick...Weeman do you remember the days when we would wear catsuits and pedal pushers ?? after that response think i'll go and rest feel old xx

Are pedal pushers "out"? I'm wearing some now....lol And I have fabric to make more. It's too hot to wear much but I look atrocious in shorts (I do wear them and no-one in this village gives a hoot) I always try to look a bit polished when I go to town. The youngsters will look back in years to come and laugh at their silliness just like we did. These days I dress for comfort in colours I like.

i think today's fashion is great--- when it is modest!!! all of those scantly clad women with everything hanging out... echk! I am a 21 myself, and a girl, and i think it's just saddening to see. :(

I am also one of the "older generation". I like my jeans and clothing to fit the right way. I would think that it would be annoying to have to be constantly trying to keep my pants up and be tugging at clothing constantly. That would be even more uncomfortable than the skin-tight jeans that I wore as a teenager. I think that most of us do suffer to be in style when we are younger, but sooner or later we get practical and realize that comfort is better.

I don't know and I do not like them like that lol, I do prefer my Jeans to only go up to the hips as I do not like them to high, but the Builder Bums one no thank you lol. But I do know what you are saying as I see a lot of People wearing them.

Some young guys here look as if they are drowning in their pants as they seem to be big enough for at least three of their friends to get into them as well. Or else they have no money and have to wear cast offs from some obese person!

With the baggy look, I always get the urge to either go to them and yank on their pantleg, just to see them fall the rest of the way down, or to go hand them a belt, and tell them to pull them up, that's what a waist is for, lol. It just loks so messy. Those low-rise jeans are so unflattering, even on skinny girls. I think they make them look like they have a "bubble-butt"!

I've seen this so many times and it looks disgusting. Although I did hear a story that made me laugh out loud just recently. A young guy who wore his pants like that robbed a home. As he was coming out through the window, he was seen by an off duty policeman who gave chase. Unfortunately for this particular young man he got caught. Why? Because his pants fell down! They were way too big for him and they were his downfall. He's not looking at spending some time in prison, and we all know he won't be wearing his too big pairs of pants in there! Serves him right!

Heheheeh ... even when I was fashion conscious I would never have shown my pants .. it just looks laughable .. like the people haven't yet learned how to dress properly .. and all those ugly bra straps showing at the back of tee shirts .. that's as bad as having your nix hoicked up so they show above your trousers .. I can't see any of the 'decent' designers ever creating anything so crass .. come on folks get dressed properly and stop showing your dirty undies to all and sundry ..

My 14 year old son wears his pants like that. But he has learned to wear a belt when he's around me. I will sneak up behind him, grab the pants legs, and pull them down around his ankles. He hates when I do that. So now he's really leery of where I am at all times. LOL

i do love some of the different styles now a days but you have to be very thin to wear them. what bugs me is the pants that are all ripped and have stains on them and people pay 30-50 for these. why would you do that i could probly make them for 5 at the most.lol my aunt spent 400$ just on pants for my to cusions for school and they only got 3 pairs of pants each. i sat on here for days looking for school clothes for my son and got him 9 outfits and a coat for a little over 200$ all brand new clothes mostly oldnavy. he is also 6 and i can do that. i remeber i wanted a pair of 30$ overalls when i was about 13 and i had to buy them. it was important then for me to have them cuz it was the fashion so i think when these kids grow up they will not be so worried about fashion and worry more about comfort.

I really don't like this fashion either. Although in skinny young people it doesn't look too bad. I'm not keen on them showing their underwear but if they have a pretty tatoo on their lower back it can look nice. However what I really don't like is when older women who are very overweight do it, that is something no one wants to see.

I might laugh at you too if I knew what a winkle picker was..Thanks to some of the responses I am guessing you mean the 70's fashion. Ok admit it we looked god awful in the 70's. That was the worst decade for fashion ever, but at least we had clothes on!! I bet your grand kids would love the fashions of your Parents or Grandparents generation and would not laugh at those styles. The 70's come on you have to give that one to them.

I don't really know how I feel about fasion. I just wear what I like and what's confortable for the body, not for the wearer's eye.

I don't know who started this but they should be shot! lol This is the most stupid looking "fashion" (if you can even call it that) statement -- it is not attractive, even though I think they think it is because their underwear are hanging out. It makes, me anyway, think that they are not all that bright. I don't see how the pants can stay up -- although I've noticed that those that where them low usually shuffle along because they can't hurry, or run or really do anything that'll cause the pants to shift and fall. Back in my day there were hip hugger jeans - they were made to ride low, not hang on down past your butt! lol

ya younger ones choose the cloths in such a way so that they can attract anybody towards them or they want that people notice them.
