Due to a busy schedule, I had to discontinue my article subscription in my favorite site associatedcontent. After getting a breather, I had contributed an article few days ago.Today I received a message that my article has been published for which I have been paid $10. I wanted to share my joy with my mylot community.

It is nice to get a payment/offer of that amount. They have really changed things around over there, creating a new formula to provide offers, many of which are low, unless you have published with them extensively. I am still trying to ramp up. I got quite a few in, and now I have gotten out of the good writing pattern again. I truly don't know how some folks over there do it. They seem to be able to produce endless numbers of articles daily.

I agree with you. I see people publishing 3 to 5 articles per day, I mean I am lucky if I can get that many per month. I just have so much pother stuff going on, plus I am too picky when it comes to my writing. I hope to get to the point where I can atleast get enough submitted to where I can get 1 published a day.

Writing is a job not to be done in a hurry. It demands time. The time taken for revision should be more than the time taken for creation. choose a subject on which you have grip. Then write ,without bothering about grammar or spelling. Go for the second and so on..After finishing 3-4 writeup, give yourself a break. After the break with your rejuvenated mind things become easier for you. Its better to get one article published in 3 days than to all the 3 articles get rejected written on a single day. Steadiness is the key. Don't compete or compare yourself with any one. You compete with yourself. You also can do it. Please go ahead

Congratulations! I just started writing for AC earlier this month. So far I've had two articles published. I just submitted 4 more and I have 4 more that I will probably submit tomorrow.
I tend to write 2 or 3 articles in one day. Then the next day, go back through and rewrite anything that needs to be done on each of them. Then if I still have time maybe write another one. Anyway, I don't submit them until the third or fourth day so I can check for errors one more time.
I don't really understand how people can just keep writing a bunch of articles and spend no time on them! Maybe I say this because I write for another online group that would NOT accept many articles I've read on AC. Of course the pay is much better at the other place I write for, so I guess it's definitely worth it re-read and re-edit. And because of that, I do it for AC too, even though AC doesn't pay me as well.

I just look at the writing as a reflection on me. I don't want to get a lot of subpar stuff on there for the sake of it (or even for the money). I would rather have quality articles that are interesting and that not everyone and anyone could write. They tend to pay more for articles on celebrity stuff or things that are popular at the current moment, which is their perogative, but it's not necessarily the kind of thing I want to write. I agree that it is better to put in more time to have quality writing.

Congratulations. I too have taken a break from AssociatedContent because of the holidays and then life just got too busy. Things are starting to get back to the point where I will start submitting again. I have noticed that there have been a lot of changes since I last submitted so I am trying to read through forum posts to see what is going on.
I plan to get myself back into the swing of submitting articles really soon. there are a few other things I have to do first but I am already makign lists of articles that I would like to write.
I do think that AC is one of the greatest sites out there for anyone who enjoys writing. I don't think it is for professionals as the pay is too low, but for people like me who write more as a hobby the fact that I get paid at all is great.
I hope you continue to submit and get paid a good amount for each article. I do wish you much success.

Nice to see a response like this. AC has started several good features in its site.Though its not meant for professionals.the norms they demand are daunting. One of the new features in the AC is "HOW TO". Subject is yours.Minimum 600 words. I've chosen this genre as I'm having a good collection of "HOW TOs. I wish you to continue with your writing and get rewarded amply.regards

Congratulations! I'm happy for you and would like to read your articles. Some of the How To articles are good, but I couldn't think of anything I know how to do that would take 600 words to explain.

Thats such an awesome feeling. I know what its like to be paid more. Especially for the volume. But like many have said, hobby money is good. I am doing it because its the fastest turn around time for payment that I've seen anywhere and without me having a job as a single mom....
Well, the one thing I can do is write. I am chatting for money while they are home and at night cranking out the articles.

Congratulations! That should be an inspiration for you to keep going! I like AC and I think that their standards are fairly stringent, which encourages people to work hard at writing worthwhile content. I read in one of your responses about someone writing several articles in a day. Personally, I'm lucky if I write 1 a week! I'm not devoting much time to it, but it does take time to research, write the article, proofread, and then change things around. I generally save the article for a day or so and then go back to read it and see if there is anything that I want to change.
