Do you believe the world will end in your life time?

I've heard a lot of people do. Especially since Bush took office and destablized nations like Iraq and Afghanistan. Also the end of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012 is only 5 years away. A lot of people think that will be the end.

No, the world won't end. We might, but not the world.

How do you know the world wont end? Do u see the current state of the earth? Would you want mankind to continue living forever and ever in this horrid place? God is certainly not going to allow us to suffer like that. He is a God of love, remember. Do you believe in the Bible?

No. And I have read it thoroughly. The god I found in there seems to have no problem making people suffer. He did it a lot. We can gloss over that and just pick out the nice parts, but to ignore the rest is just dishonest. The earth has survived worse than us, and it will keep going long after we're gone. We may mess things up to the point where we can't survive, but over time the atmosphere will likely rebuild itself.

Whether or not we want Jesus to come, he will. He has promised that he is coming back soon and he always keeps his promises. Whether it will be in my lifetime, I cannot tell. Who know whether I'll live to see tomorrow? A thousand years in our sight is like a day in God's sight. He is not contained by our timetable. His soon may seem like a lifetime to us! But there's one important thing we must keep in mid... Tomorrow is promised to no man. So my friends, we must get ready now so that if we take our last breath the next second from know at least we'll be caught up when the first trumpet blows!

No one really knows. People have been trying to predict the end of the world since the beginning of time.

I will never believe in the predictions made by people at different points of time. There were many such predictions and if they dont happen the same people who predicted that way, very conveniently change and postpone the dates. We just never know what will take place the next minute. What if there were a few hundred meteors racing towards our earth?

I certainly don't think that President Bush, or anyone else on the face of the earth is powerful enough to bring about the end of the world. If you really want to know about the end of the world, read your Bible. Doesn't it stand to reason that if God created the world, that God would know when it is going to end, if it actually is. The Bible gives us lots of signs to watch for so we will be able to tell when it is near the end of the age -- he doesn't use the words, "end of the world," and everyone who is concerned about this should find out what these signs are. Will the end, as we know it, come in my lifetime. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it ended tomorrow. All we are told to do is to watch and be ready. I hope you will be one of those who do that.

indeed people have thought they lived in the end times during all generations. It is not for us to know. It is sure that some of the "signs of the times" could be said to have occurred, but we do not know with any certainty that they are THE signs that God has spoken of. The only thing I am assured of, is the end of the world will come for us individually when our spirit leaves our body behind.
