I beleive that you can tell a perosn that was born into money from someone who worked hard for their money. The peroson that was born into money has very little to no humility. Where as the person thatworked hard fort heir money knows the real value of a dollar and is more humble to people that have lesss than they do, and more willing to helpout when they can.

I think this is really just a stereotype. I know kind rich people, and some poor people who are very ignorant and unintelligent.

Same here, it is not really the money that changes the person.

That really isn't the case...I find people of less means to be more arrogant...mostly out of pride I think..

rich or poor hardly matter.......it is the simplicity which is more important

i think, the reason may be, the rich get more facilities in their home from their childhood.so they get no chances to tolerate anyway....they dont know what the problems are...so they cannot tolerate when they face a problem.......but the poor always suffer a lot from the biginning...'the sunlight cannot do anything to what made from fire '....

Having money and not having money makes all the difference in attitudes of people.

Wel, its not entirely true. There are many poor people who are arrogant and the rich that are more tolerant. Its just that people have made this generalized statement over the centuries.

good question...it makes me sick to see all those rich people be so rude...I mean not all rich people are like that, but its just rediculas.. I mean I think people who werent brought up with a lot of money understand what money is, and how it needs to be used...jeeze maybe Im looking to into this,.,,

I do not think this is true.. or agree with a lot of comments. The thing is, if you are born into a rich wealthy and educated family money is not going to be a hugee deal and you won't be rude or ignorant. You see, arrogant people are ussually not that well educated and their parents let them do whatever they want which is why some people are spoiled arrogant and ignorant. There are poor people who aren't tolerant at all. If they meet someone who has money they automatically think they are spoiled because they have money and ussually blame their money as a reason not to be their friends or tolerate them. And out there there are people who started in very poor families and worked their way up. Some with fast money, some with really hard work. And I find that the people who are born in poor families and in a few years they become rich are more likely to be arrogant than the people who are born rich. I live in a third world country and that's the reason why I think this way. I have friends who were born in the extremely poor areas and sometimes had nothing to eat, didn't have a room for his own or anything like that. One day, his dad became a baseball player, and things started to chage for him... From not going to school, to going to one of the best schools of the country, After years and years, his father became one of the major league baseball here in the US and as you know they become even more rich. Still to this day, he takes money out of his allowance and sends it to his people, the people he used to live with outside the city... So, what im trying to say.. sometimes.. poor people are the arrogant and rich people are the more tolerant.

I know some really wonderful rich people, they aren't arrogant at all. I think it is something that is portrayed in movies and people think that is how it really is.
