Schools being used for the wrong reasons by illegals

Migrant-worker families care nothing about education. They use U.S. public schools to care for their kids while they work two or three jobs, 24 hours a day, seven days a week just to survive. The schools have ever-expanding "after-school programs" and "before-school programs" and free breakfasts (everyone qualifies), free lunches and free food after school. It is child care and babysitting. That's where your money goes. The kids can't speak English and don't want to because their parents can't and won't speak English because they feel no need, and they're right. There is no real pressing need for English since they can work for employers who also speak Spanish (and most are illegals themselves and care nothing about English, just soaking money out of the U.S. farm economy and wiring it back to Mexico or Central America or, in some casaes, Asia, particularly the Philippines or Loas). So there you have it: A black hole where all our tax money goes, taking care of foreign kids and teaching students next to nothing, giving them cash to siphon out of America to Mexico.

Not all migrant workers do that. Most of them understand the importance of education to improve the lives of their children.
Consider this... how much will it cost to have millions of uneducated poor people living in your community. Crime rates will soar.
Would you rather have your tax dollars building schools or prisons?
Your post reeks of racism.

It's not racism...it's irritation at those who take advantage of our kindness by coming into the country illegally, taking everything they can get from our generosity, and then refusing to learn our language. And then there are those extremists who fly the Mexican flag and spew hate talk against America.

Ok then, let's just let those kids go hungry. There are studies that show a strong correlation between nutritional lack and IQ. Let's create another generation of brain damaged people.
There's no denying a problem exists. Mis-directing your irritation at innocents will solve nothing.
The money going out argument is BS too.
Do you shop at Walmart? Then you are guilty of exporting dollars too.
Your ancestors came to America to have a better life. This is the same reason people still come here. That says a lot about our country.
Be proud of that.
Remember what the sign on the Statue of Liberty says,
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free; send these, the homeless tempest-tossed, to me; I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

I am not an immigrant, I am college educated. I barely make ends meet with the jobs I can get.
If my son was young now, I would be thrilled if these services were available.
I think it is unfortunate that yu are generalizing about a these people, I think they realize the value of an education and would like their children to have it better then they did, that is why they are here.
I understand thay are a tax drain and that is a big part of why you are upset about this cost, we all are. But please don't generalize like this.

Yes they probably do have over-expanding after school care as they do here as well but not only for illegals,. Oh boy they get a lot for free our children do not have these luxuries us parents have to make their food that they are going to consume. I understand about the English as their are a lot in my country as well where they do not want to speak english as well and yet English is the universal language. So the government needs to wake up to themselves where is all their revenue being lost.

Hmm..that's true. Everyone from third world countries view USA as one of the best places to migrate to, either legally or illegally. Not cool. They're taking all the jobs too, which is the worst part but who can blame them? Don't know about Philippines but the conditions in Laos and Myanmar is really really bad. $1 can fund a whole family's living expenses for a week. If you do get a chance to visit places like this, always check in a whole carton of cookies/sweets to give to the kids that go on the streets to beg for money and/or food. I usually give food instead of cash.
