do you keep all your children's art work. i've been keeping them all so far but everyone says once she goes to school i'll have way too much.
for now i date all her drawings and paintings and i put them in those plastic sheet protectors and put them in a binder. it's cute to look at it and see how she gets better and better from the first sribbles to the actual shapes and people.

I try to keep some of it, but once they start school, they bring home things everyday! What you can do now is take digital pictures as backup, I have been meaning to do that, and take my own advice lol.

taking digitals is a good idea. would take up a lot less room. i've actually done it but just of the things she did on the aqua doodle mat (it's drawn with water so it fades). the first picture she drew that actually looked like something was on that so i ran to get my camera. it was a drawing of her. and it was so cute. i later had it tattood on my back with her name under it. so glad i had thought of taking a pic of it.

oh i keep them too. I have created a whole file of his work and now some of the selected few I am going to get them framed and hang them inhis room. I have a cousine who had got her son's first letter too framed and has it displayed in her bedroom wall. I often stick his drawings on the wall with tape and we have named it walll of fame and my son loves it that way. These are memories and treaures of his child hood , keep them safe and carefully.

I have boxes of my daughters art work from when she was in grade school and up. Each box is labeled and I love to embarise her. She is sixteen and I pull the boxes out when her friends come over. Her friends can't believe that I kept all that junk but each picture or other item has a great memory for me. My mom kept some of my art work from grade school as well. I have even shared my work with my daughter.

of course you should.
I do not have kids myself, but I get home made gifts from my siblings kids and so far, I've saved each. I have a shoe box for each kid and place the items in there. I also have a small display case in a spare bedroom where I have one item from each kid displayed. I replace the current item from one of the kids when I receive a new one from the same child.

They produce alot of stuff so I only keep some, the best of the best. I also have hung on to a few sketch books that are filled so they will have those to look back on. Mine go to an art school where they produce mixed media, oil paintings, and things like that I keep all that work and we have a room in the house that is quickly becoming an art gallery.

I've kept quite a lot f the kids art but with 3 kids it hard to keep up as all they seem to do is paint, draw and glue things. I have a box full in the attic that's growing weekly, I don't keep everything as the attic would be full and my partner would have a heart attack Lol as he thinks I keep a way too much anyhow.

I did the same things in the "early" days, but once my son has started school, it is impossible to keep them all. He went to preschool last year just 2 days a week for 3 hours each day and I have one of those rubbermaid plastic tubs FULL of stuff. Now, in Pre-K, 5 days a week all day long, I really usually just keep the real important things and the small things just go in the trash. It breaks my heart to throw some of his stuff away, but there is NO way I could keep it all.

I keep almost all of her art projects from school and most of them that she does at home too. I started by dating them and sticking them in a folder but then moved them into a binder with the platic sheets like you do. I keep all the drawings my niece and nephew do for me to the same way. I love seeing how their artwork changes as they get older and think it'll be really neat when they grow up to be able to sit down with them and show them all what they did and how creative they were when they were little.
