Oh dear, my concentration today on mylot is waning lol. Do you tend to eat more during the winter months because come lunch time or early afternoon i get so hungry it is a joke that is why i eat a light soup in the evening. I just guzzled down three lamb chops, mashed potato with grilled vegetables and i need to wash it down with a strong cup of english tea if i am to stay awake and finish off some responses. Do you find this with yourself?

It is a well known fact that when you eat your body starts redistributing the bloodflow throughout your body to circulate more of it around your stomach to aid the digestive process. Also in the wintertime if you live in a cold region a lot of people tend to layer on a little extra poundage during the months of forced inactivity because it is part of our seasonal nature and fat insulates the body and the internal organs so often the body will begin it's natural weight gain around the time of the year that bears and other hybernating mammals do. It is natural it is normal. And a case of the yawns is the minds way of protesting it's lowered status in the circulatory popularity contest!

Alot of times, I find myself hungry first thing in the morning. I end up fixing me some milk gravy and a few pieces of toast. Sometimes I can go most of the day without eatinf and then I am starving by the time supper rolls around. There has been times when all I want to do is eat and snack around all day long. I tend to feed my nerves alot. when I get sleepy during the day while mylotting, I will eat just to stay awake and continue to get things done here and in my home.

I think that go to sleep soon, after a big dinner is not the best idea. Maybe is better wait a bit to have a good sleep. I don't think that you have to stay awake for a long time. Post the responses the go to bed.

There a time when I eat more than I should and yes, it does make me me tired after a big meal. I think that the body goes into a phase like an animal that hibernates for the winter as it stores enough food to carry it through whilst asleep.

I must admit I'm having a hard time concentrating on mylot lately, I don't know if it cos of food, sleep, winter months or what??!!! I find when the sun shines I'm all up and go, yet when, like today it's wet and windy, I just feel uuugh! And I guess that's when I go to the kitchen more often, I'm actually thinking of opening a tin of rice pudding, lovely old comfort food, if I had some rice I'd cook my own but I haven't so I won't!!
Well, that's it, my minds made up thanks yanji, I'm off to the rice pudding and a blob of jam mmmmmmmmmmm!!!

my appetite is, actually, stretchable. it's variable and dependent on time, environment and mood. sometimes i find myself eating up voraciously and some other time i am just without food for more than a day. i haven't had any problem whatsoever. however, my doctor says this is corroding for stomach.
by the way, did that strong english tea help you ?? next time try some darjeeling liqor. LOL

Yes! I eat more when the weather is cold because I need food to stay warm, that's one and the fact that I really dislike bundling up to go out so I just stay at home, watch tv and eat! Like you, after eating a full meal I actually get tired and sleepy. Hehehehe

The winters where I live are kind of long and cold so sometimes I find myself having more of an appetite than usual at this time of year. I've heard that this can be due to the body's primitive instinct of storing up fat for the winter. When I think of this I get a funny image of gorging on food like a bear and then hibernating all winter, lol.
Luckily I don't overindulge too much but it's okay to do it once in a while. When you feel your concentration waning you might try to eat a light, high protein snack and be sure to drink plenty of water during the day to keep yourself hydrated and feeling alert. Okay, that's enough of my advice for today. :)

I find that if I'm tired because I haven't slept well I feel much hungrier through the day. In the winter I always seem to feel more tired and eat even more.
I find the evenings are the worse, as I get more tired I eat more and more and that is the wrong time of the day to be eating.

We don't have winter in Singapore but when I visit cold countries, I do find myself wanting to eat more.
I don't have problem staying awake unless the thing I need to do is not interesting enough. Mylot may be tiring but it is not THAT boring.
Last night, I was going through a book of technical nature. It would be my lying posture... but it was the first time in a long while that I fell asleep reading a book. :P
And, coffee would be better than tea for jolting you awake since it has more caffeine. In fact, some cold coke would work equally well. ;-)

I am hungry all the time. I don't know why. But yes, I get really sluggish if I don't eat regularly...I just eat small amount many time during the day, so as to space it out a bit.

It sounds like you had a huge comfort meal to me, and yes, when I eat a lot and have a quiet afternoon, I get sleepy. It is better to eat big at noon and light at night , though. Much less indigestion to keep you awake. The sun is shining here today, so I will go outside and charge my solar panel, getting some fresh air and sunshine to wake up.

I definitely eat more in the winter months. Between being shut up inside and needing warm comfort foods because of the cold dreary weather, I consume many more calories this time of year. In the warmer months I have less of an appetite and eat lighter, cooler foods.

I have noticed that i seem to eat more during the day when i am bored. if i am tired and have nothing to do then i eat alot. and at times i see my children doing this too. when they don't know what to do with themselves they want to eat all of the time.
