For me that is an easy question to answer. Cancer.
This is because my dad was diagnosed with Cancer last year. He has had chemo and radiation and so far so good but as you know, you dont get the all clear until 5 years. I wont go into all the details but its very worrying.
It is a horrible horrible illness and affects so many people so if i could cure anything it would be that

I'm sorry about your aunt.
It isnt nice to see anyone suffer but it is much worse when it is loved ones or children. Good discussion topic - only wish we could wave a magic wand and cure it.

I know you asked for one but, there are so many out there. I would want to cure all disease that affect people. Life would be so much easier. We wouldn't have to spend money on trying to cure a disease. That money could go for other things. Having a disease myself I feel fortunate, there are others who suffer more then I.
Cancer being one of them, just sorry to those families who have to go through the pain of a loved one with a disease.

I would love to be able to cure cancer if it was possible since so many people die of this disease and would love to prevent so many people from dying. I would love to be able to cure all diseases though and help everyone but if I had to pick one, it would be cancer.

cancer, my mom passed away from cancer almost 5 years ago and i took care of her up until they couldn't give me the meds she needed to stay pain free. they said she would probly only make it another week at the most so we put her in a hospice unit and to every ones suprise she made it 14 days before she passed, but to she the pain she was in all the time really hurt and even after they had her on so much meds she was in coma of some kind(i can't remember what they called it but even then you could she the pain in her face and it really hurt to see her that way. they gave her around 6 months and she made it a total of 1 year and 3 months but it was a very painful year and i wouldn't want anyone to have to watch their loved one go through that. it was the most painful time in my life just watching her go through it all and her having to deal with the pain.

It would have to be Cancer. It does not discriminate. It hits all ages. I've watched while it destroyed my relatives and friends. I see small children going through chemotherapy. It's a very difficult battle.

Since you guys have rid the world of cancer and Alzheimer's, I will tackle Diabetes. My mother had it and it caused her so much trouble in other health areas as well. It is a horrible disease that affects so many. I would like to get rid of it also because I hate that some do not get to enjoy a simple meal with out worrying about whether or not it will cause a trip to the ER.

for me the one disease/health issue i would cure would be obesity. i suffer from obesity complicated by other health problems and it makes them worse. for me, it is a genetic issue and a brain issue, my fat thermostat is set way too high.
