I also just recalled my favorite book when I was little it is "The Talisman". King wrote it together with Peter Straub. The plot of that book is so intense (well, you can say it about majority of King's books). But it is also very fantastic, like a dark story-tale. It is about 12 years old boy whose mother is sick, and he is sent to find a cure - the Talisman. He travels in two parallel realties, our and the Territories, and in both he faces dangerous adventures. The book is pretty thick, but I remember I could not take my eyes off it.

Oh I love reading Stephen King and Bachman. My alltime favorite would have to be 'Misery.' I am a nurse so of course that one really appealed to me. The movie was good, but not as good as reading the book. He is an awesome author.

Stephen King is one of my absolute favorite authors. I've got alot of his books on my shelves right now. Everytime I think I've finally got them all - he comes out with a couple more.
I think my favorite is "the Stand" or maybe "hearts in atlantis" or "dreamcatcher" oh heck.. i don't know.. they are all my favorites!! LOL.. Well, except for Gerald's Game; I think that that is the only book in my entire life that I wasn't able to finish reading. It was just too much for me I think.

I like a lot of books by Stephen King, especially IT, but his short stories are also extremely good, like the Langoliers and The Body. The only downside about him is that animals almost always get hurt in his books and that always upsets me even if it is just fiction.

Carrie is intriguing. I love the idea of a mild-mannered telekinetic girl getting frustrated at the fact that she's a social leper. Underrated symbolic elements there. Also, Rose Madder is quite a read as well. An interesting feminist work from King.

Steven King is an awesome writer. I've loved several of his books and movies for that matter. I think my favorite would have to be IT. It really scared me but it was so good. Steven King has the ability to find everyone's worst fears and write about them. For me IT deals with my worst fears, clowns and things only some people can see. Of course Gerald's Game and Misery were very good as well along with Carrie but IT is way above the rest.

I love steven king books and have been reading them for years. he says the character in the shining was based on himself as he used to have a drink problem etc. I read the book he wrote about writing books which was really interesting and he talks about the accident which nearly killed him. I think all his books are set in maine.

I enjoy Stephen King's books. I don't think I have a favorite but I enjoyed the "Shining" as well. I remember the "It" movie really freaked me out!
