I used to always be able to get 6 or 7 hours really sound sleep and that was perfect.
Now I struggle a bit with sleeping and sometimes only manage 4 or 5.
How many hours do you sleep and how many hours do you need to feel refreshed? Also, do you nap during the day?

I regularly sleep 4 hours during the weekdays because I have to leave early for work, and I tend to sleep very late at night (as in morning, like 1 AM). I'm having some difficulty sleeping at night these days. It's not that I'm busy with work but it's just that I couldn't sleep right on. During the weekends, though, I can wake up late, and get to sleep for 8-9 hours.

Oh, and I don't nap during the day (because I'm at the workplace) but I do feel sleepy during the day because I think 4 hours of sleep isn't enough. I used to get 8 hours before. I don't know, maybe because of the change of season.

In the past few weeks ,i tend to sleep for fewer hours, becase of alot. I will finish my work at around 5 pm and I will be ''working '' at alot at around 8 -10 pm for few hours ,, the time i sleep will be 1-2 am ...But I have to wake up at 7 am ,so probably i only have 5-6 hours everyday.
It is strange that i feel refreshed sometimes when i sleep for few hours, but sometimes i feel exhausted even i sleep for 10 hours, as i know,, what is important is the quality of sleep, that mean if you cn sleep for 5-6 hours everyday without waking up in between, you will get enough sleep that day and be refreshed .

I sometimes take a nap, it's important for us to take a rest for a while. And when I sleep at night, I always try to sleep on average hours, around 6 to 8. I do this because of my work, I have to get more energy as possible to perform well on my job.

I find as I age that I am sleeping less and less. Many nights I am only gettting 6 hours sleep and sometimes 5. I do not feel refreshed upon awakening either. Part of the problem is associated problems of menopause (waking up really hot and sweaty and alternately freezing) and part of the probelem is a bum shoulder that has been bothering me. I try not to nap during the day as I know that will negatively affect nighttime sleep, but some afternoons I just can't help myself! I will lay down for a hour.

I'm 37 now and 7 months pregnant, and I'm lucky if I'm able to sleep for 4 or 5 hours a night. I used to have to sleep for 8 hours a night or I would be tired the next day. Now I do try to take a nap during the day when I can, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to sleep more comfortably once I have the baby and it starts sleeping through the night.

normally my sleep is only 7-8 hours. napping on day time, i really can't force myself to do it though it is possible with the kind of work i had. our body needs enough time of sleeping, if we have a problem on it,medications has been served. if u got a problem at this point, try to drink milk before bed time so u wont have a hard time.

I need 7 or 8 hours a night to feel my best. If I get less than that, I am usually tired but ok. If I get too much sleep, however, I feel awful and groggy the whole day. My sleep patterns are usually pretty erradic, and I've found that sleeping more to make up for lost sleep does not usually work. I am trying hard to regulate my sleep and get 7 or 8 hours a night.
