Where do you prefer to swim?

Desa Water Park - This is one of the water parks that I love to go. The water is clean and there are ample place to play around.

Are you the kind of person that would only swim at a specific place only such as at private pool or in the sea. As for me, I love water so much that I would swim almost anywhere if the place allows me to swim. I would swim at water parks, as shown in the picture. That picture was taken at one of the water parks here in Malaysia. I would also swim at private and public swimming pools, in the river and even in the sea. Do you have any preference as where you would swim? Let me know what is in your mind.

I'm one of those wierd people that can't swim so for me it's in the hot tub I like to stay. Yeah it's nuts I'm 24 years old and still can't do it no matter how hard I try.

Well I like pools and I like river or lakes but I hate the ocean swimming. Of course I live on the Gulf where the water is on the warm side but even when I've been on the other side of the state with the Atlantic I just don't like the ocean water. I don't like the salt but also I don't like to think about what might be swimming in the water with me. I grew up in Michigan and I loved swimming in the rivers and lakes. Down here we can't due to alligators. I miss fresh water swimming. So that leaves me with a pool.

Ha ha... what could be swimming with you in the sea? Aren't you afraid of something that will be swimming with you in the rivers and lakes. I have not tried lakes though. Somehow, I find it kind of creepy...

My ideal place is on a private beach, where it is clean and I have privacy to swim with my heart's content. I love the sea, the salt and iodine is very healthy and I used to feel strong when I used to swim every year in Greece, now I think I might be heading for Phucket lol.

I like to go swimming at lots of different places, although I don't usually actually swim. I mostly just wade in the water and play around in it. hehe I like pools and water parks and also lakes or the ocean. I really like wave pools or the ocean waves, cause they're so much fun!

I definitely enjoy swimming in the sea more than in the swimming pool. Swimming in the sea allows you to appreaciate nature up close. You can take a look of what life is under water instead of just looking at it in the aquarium. You can get to collect sea-shells too...

Then you would need a private pool where you can make sure that the water is clean.

No I'm not the kind of person who would only swim in a specific place only but I have a preference. My favorite place to swim is the beach! I love the beach and one of my dreams would be to live by the ocean.

private and public pools are okay for me, but i mostly prefer a private resort for family and friends. swimming in the pool with them is much more fun since you know everybody. I dont like swimming in an ocean, sea or a beach because I hate the water. and im kind of afraid of the ocean because im afraid of drowning. :)) Its like my greatest fear of all. although river is really okay for me, because the water is very clean but its rocky so its really hard to swim. :))

As an adult I have only swam in swimming pools. As a child I would swim any where. There was a local pond that was close to my childhood home. Often in the summer we went there to swim on a hot day. It wasn't until I was much older that I started to swim in pools and at water parks.

I like swimming at the National Aquatic Center in Blanchardstown. It is a big complex divided into two parts. One half is an Olympic pool, and a dving area. The other half is a water park with slides, a wave machine, a lazy river and cool water jacuzzi. It is expensive to go there but it is a lot of fun!

swimming pool - 25 meter lap pool
I would choose swimming pool if I need the workout but if I want to have fun I'll definitely pick the sea. Both has pros and cons so it will really depend on the swimmers' preferences. I live in the city so in order to get to the beach I may need to travel 2-3 hours whilst going to a swimming pool can be as fast as 10 minutes.

Oh how I love the water! :) My preference is for pools, though. I don't like the feel of seaweed at ALL so lakes and rivers are not my "thing" LOL I've been to the beach many times and I will swim but I constantly tread water LOL! Like another member said, I don't like the feel or the wonder of what might be beneath my feet. In Barbados, I remember swimming with lightweight canvas sneakers on so I didn't have to feel the bottom :) I know, sounds goofy... but I do love the water and didn't want to miss a beautiful opportunity. Last summer, my family and I stayed at a hotel that had a salt water pool... that was a neat experience. First time I had been in one. We always had a pool in our yard when I was growing up (my parents used to call me a fish because I'd be in the water from morning til night, whenever I could) and my first home as an adult had one too. Our current house, we don't have one and I truly miss it. Fortunately, my sister is a few minutes away and they have a large, in-ground pool that we are very happy to help them use ;)

I use to love to swim..There are things I like and dislike about all three. The pool has too many people and I don't like what the chlorine does to my hair and eyes, but It is much safer because it is enclosed ans usually well staffed. The lakes have no real danger from shark attack, but there is the seaweed that can tangle in you feet and pull you under. The sea is far less crowded but it is colder, there is a possibility of shark attack (remote but still a possibility) and there are riptides and undertows. I guess I don't really have a favorite. Just as long as it's dark. I love the night!

I swim in the sea, rivers and pools. I swim in the sea for convenience because I live nearby and it is within walking distance. I like pools better, though. They're cleaner and warmer.

Yup, the pools are cleaner but to me the sea is more fun especially there are many other activities that you do before and after the swim :)

Yeah, I love swimming too, unfortunately I don't get to do it very often because where we live which granted is quite close to the sea, but you can't swim in it because the currents are very strong and there's sharks and stingray that can kill you. It's very rough and windy, because it's just opposite from Antarctica. The swimming pool is quite far away since we live in a remote area. Thankfully we have a bathtub so me and my daughter use it all the time!
