Hi, for paid version, you could try Kaspersky and Symantec antivirus. These two are very effective in terms of scanning and detecting any malicious malwares and viruses. It does its jobs pretty well. For free version, you could try AVG, AVAST, and AVIRA. Currently, I am using avira antivir personal classic edition. I have been using this software for almost two years. Since using this one, I have never had any problems at all with regards to the overall function of my PC. It updates regularly and can be scheduled at your most convenient time. It is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory. Hence, does not slow down your machine. It detects and deletes rootkits, viruses, worms, etc.
Hope this would help to you in any way!
Have a great day and God speed!

Use Avast! and CrapCleaner! I used to get viruses, like, once a week until a friend told me to download these. They're both free, and I have never had computer problems since I downloaded them.

What kind of virus do you have on your computer? Maybe I can help you to find the antivirus. I use spyware doctor because I like surfing on internet and for antivirus... I use NOD. Okey, don't open bad sites (XXX) on internet when you're surfing and also you have to scan your computer every week if you have installed the antivirus. Always update your antivirus! Okey, that's all inform me if you have any question!

Try AVG free, it's great program (and free) most people say it's better than Norton as it causes no conflicts or slows down your computer like many popular anti virus brands do.

Anti Virus's are good to protect you from geting a virus. If you do have one I would suggest formating C; and starting fresh. Also Macafee or Norton are usually the best but I have not heard if Norton is still around or not.
