Why can't I rate discussions?

I notice this issue every month around payout time. I think when they are going in and cleaning out all of the old/repeat discussions and making changes the email server and the rating system just don't work. I am very surprised that you didn't find any discussion on this because i remember seeing quite a few recently.

You didn't hit the back button at all did you? *curious* I would be thinking it's just a mylot glitch, I've had it happen to me before and although it's annoying there isn't much you can do about it. Also - I remember reading somewhere that if a comment has been deleted from a discussion then you need to re-rate the whole thing as the mylot police often delete the ratings - unsure if that is true or just mylot urban legend though.

Thanks for the reminder, I was going to message myLot, as I am having the same problem. We all know that it takes a computer to really mess things up. Maybe all of us should let myLot know, so they can get it fixed.

Must have been a rating glitch esther, it should be set right soon if it hasn't been already. I had the same problem a few discussions ago and I haven't got to rating today yet. Let's see, hope it is working fine, otherwise all users are in for surprises with more +s..lol

Sounds like a glitch in the system .. but it's a flippin' nuisance if you have spent ages sorting out your dicsussions only for them to go back as they were again ... I'd wait a few days before doing it again ... at least then the glitch may be sorted and your ratings will stick !

It's a glitch in the system. I discovered that yesterday morning and it annoyed the heck out of me. I get the feeling that once myLot have sorted it out we'll all have to go back in and re rate again. I also discovered that we can't pick best response, or rather, we can but when we go back it will have refreshed itself, so thats something else that needs to be sorted out too. Hopefully it won't take Mylot too long to fix the problem.

This is new one to me and I cannot remember ever seeing this problem before. It must be very irritating to spend time rating responses and then finding that you have totally wasted your time. When we consider how busy the site is and also that the admin are constantly trying to implement improvements, then it is not really surprising that such instances occur. The plus side is that Mylot always manage to iron out such problems.

I dont know what happend they should have stayed rated maybe you should tell mylot about it. Something is wrong. Im going to check mine out to see it they were rated.

Hmm I read similar trouble with this. Umh.. is rate need a lot of time? Maybe U can reduce Ur rate time and pending it until U make sure it already fixed

I have never heard on such a problem here, so it's new to me. I guess that is something that myLot staff has added, and we are now using it. You don't need to feel that you are wasting your time, because rating other members discussions or responses won't increase your earnings.

Ah, so it's not just me having this problem. That's good to know. It looks like it's just a glitch. I'm sure the mylot staff is already looking into the problem. With any luck, they'll have it fixed within the next day or so.

Maybe it's just one of those glitches, hopefully to be solved soon. i've never had a problem like that myself, and to tell you the truth, i hope i don't because everything i do here on my lot depends on ratings, you see, i use them as a way to remind myself of the discussions i've responded to, anytime i respond to someones discussion i rate them +ve, so that i don't accidentally respond to them again if i see they've already been rated. I think it might just be a glitch, because i'm not sure what else could go wrong.

yes, every time you rate an answer positive, your rating a discussion/answer/question. stars go up or down by people's rating activity.

I think it was just glitchy. I had some really weird, slow responses when I was putting up photos, too. Something starnge was going on. Is it ok now?
