Using cans as weights is supposed to be a good exercise...slowly using heavier household objects as you get stronger. Running up and down the stairs. A small stool also is good for step exercises. Skipping, jogging on the spot, sit ups. All are good at toning and increasing stamina. Good luck.

The body loses weight in places of its choosing, regardless of what exercises you do. That said, you tend to lose weight first from the extremities...arms and legs.
Aside from weight loss, however, you can try to transform some of that weight into muscle by doing exercises. Walking while carrying weights can help tone your muscles. As for abdominal muscles, doing crunches can help a lot too, and they're fairly easy to do.
