I am working two jobs now, and find it really hard to find time for sewing. I think I average now 1 to 2 hours per week. I am planning on making some skirst for summer so I will increase my time to 8 hours per week. I will probably sew after work at least 1 hour and the balance on the weekend. How many hours do you sew weekly?

I go in spurts... if I have a project I'm working on, I could sew 10 hours just to get it finished! But then I could go weeks, or even months, and not sew! I find a pattern for something and it gets me going again... then I'll sew a lot. But then I get tired of it, and I'll take a break. I truly enjoy sewing, but if I sit too long, it hurts my neck...

I know what you mean. I am making a couple of summer skirts and I am probably going to spend about 10 hours this week just so I can get the project finish.

I probably also average 1-2 hours. I really should be doing a lot more than that, but I keep getting sucked into mylot!

This is easy one for me to answer, I don't sew....with the exception of the occasional button or hem, so the answer to your question would be a big fat ZERO. I did learn the basics of sewing at school but that was a long time ago now. It sure would save a few dollars if I knew how to sew but I'm afraid I have to save those dollars in other areas.

I am so blessed to be able to sew as much as I want. Its one of the perks of being my age. I remember those busy days when I worked, raising a family and had to realy juggle things to find a few minutes to sew. One thing I found back then, was to keep my sewing project all organized and the sewing machine set up for those few minutes of precious time.

It depends for me. I'm a stay at home mom to two girls, 3.5 and 1.5 years, so I don't have much free time, and by evening time I'm too wiped out to sew. But my husband helps by giving me a few hours on the weekend free of the kids to concentrate on sewing. On average I sew about 8 hours a week give or take. I'm hoping to increase my sewing time as well since I have many spring/summer tops I want to make.

I sew for between 4 and 8 hours a week. I am making bags, and little gifts for friends for Christmas - I like to start early to avoid stress. (Of course, I usually get behind, leave it all until November, and then have no time, but hey, at least I started!)

I try to spend a little time each day sewing. But never get regular times to sew. Working full time, and dd practice schedules. Then when we get home it's dinner. There always seems to be something more important to do then sewing. I have to really try to make sewing time a priority, because it is something I really enjoy. But of course then I found MyLot. Oh well.
