On multi-sized patterns, do you cut out the exact size you need? Do you trace it out onto other tissue paper? Do you cut the biggest size and then fold over the unneeded sizes? I cut them out--unless it's for my oldest daughter....

Quilting fabric vs fashion fabric

Just out of curiosity, is there any reason that quilting fabric couldn't be used for fashion fabric? I am making a skirt, and I found this really cute print, but it says it's a quilting fabric... Since I'm still really new to this...

Sewing a dress with a pattern takes time. Sometimes I just follow the cut of an old dress. Yes it is a lazy way to sew a dress. It is not base on a new style.
