Diana Ross...was it me or did she sound a bit "off key" the other night?

I completely agree with you. In fact I thought that if she was an unknown and tried to contract today, I think she would have some trouble. I just didn't think she was all that great. Of course, while I was watching her I just couldn't get her mug shot out of my head from when she got arrested for drunk drivng a few years ago in my town. I certainly think that Melinda and Lakisha have better voices than her, and if they can learn how to own the stage like Diana Ross does then they are going to go a long way.

I thought I was the only one thinking she sang off-key. She was a little flat that night. Nothing fantastic about her performance. Maybe she's just tired I guess.....

I think she did too but I never really thought anything of it untill now that you mention it. The way I see it is she's been singing for soooo many years now, just because she's a legend doesn't mean she's gonna sing perfect everytime, she is getting older and I don't think she's gonna sing perfect everytime now like she used too.

I didn't pay much attention to her singing..until my husband mentioned she was off key. She's lucky she's already famous, because shr never would have "made it" with a voice like the one she had that night.
By the way, did you watch Simon while she sang? He looked disgusted by her performance, in my opinion. Paula on the other hand seemed to love it.

i agree. we had d same observation. though of course, we shouldnt take that against her. she still looks great and she performed quite ok. well, i think with her status now, she can get away with dat. hehe

She sounded awful... and she was singing her own songs! My husband thinks its because she's aged so much it changed her voice... its possible I guess.

I thought that Diana Rosses performance was nothing more than satisfactory the other night, it's nice to see that I'm not the only one thinking this way. I think she was just enjoying being on the stage more than anything else, she looked like she was having a great time.

I agree and I even said so to my boyfriend and he said wouldn't it be nice if they turn to the judges to ask what they thought. I told him they wouldn't dare say anything to her. I've always liked her music but I don't think she sang very well at all that night.
