Kid's Favorite Meatballs
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed chicken and rice soup
1/2 cup water
1 pound ground beef
1 egg
1/8 cup milk
2 slices bread
DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute green pepper and onion for 5 minutes, or until tender. Stir in the tomato soup, chicken & rice soup and the water and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer.
Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, combine the ground beef, egg and milk. Break the bread into very small pieces and add to the bowl. Mix together well. (Note: The kids love to use their hands to mix this. Be sure they wash them well before AND afterward to avoid any contamination.)
Shape the meat mixture into meatballs and drop them into the soup mixture. Continue to simmer over low heat, uncovered, for 45 to 60 minutes. Stir occasionally, but be very careful not to break the meatballs.

Mainly you need to give them a good selection of fruit and vegetables.
Chop up fruit for them for puddings and snacks, choose any fruits at all. If they are younger than soft fruits like banana, grapes and melon are better, and if they are older apples and pears will be fine.
Keep some fruit juice in the house for them to drink diluted its much healthier than squash.
For main meals give them vegetables, in stews or soups to keep them healther, especially leafy greens.
Here are some recipes for things that they might enjoy:

When we were kids we liked to make and eat pancakes. We also liked sandwiches you could roll up with flat bread and peanut butter and jelly or cream cheese and shredded carrots, etc. We liked foods we could dip like fresh veggies or pretzels and dip. Snacks like trail mix are good and I think every kid likes pizza.
