Who do you think will get the new chief position?

Nobody is giving Derek much of a shot at this point, but if Burke has disqualified himself with his past problems and Addison and Sloan are headed to the spin-off, then McDreamy gets it by default doesn't he?

I don't think it will be Sloan. I think he'll go with the new spinoff show. I think either the chief is going to decide not to retire after all or it may end up being Bailey. I'm not liking Burke these days; he's being very self-righteous about everything. Shepherd is too distracted. Nobody else is ready for that kind of role, if anyone ever is.

I think Mark's character will develop and bloom into a much more likeable character as the plot develops. He is going to straighten up and the others will all forgive him. I think he is seeing that his ways were not the best and it is obvious that he wants to stay in town with the promotion opportunity. I'm not sure he is best for the job but he did seem to top the others with his ideas and plans.

Yes it certainly left you thinking that Mark would be the next cheif. Rumors of Addison leaving the show may take him with her. MAY, I said, it's all speculation. so perhaps somebody completely new will come in. Or Burke will get it. But I don't think he's the most deserving anymore. He was. But he has changed. Love will do that to a person, won't it? I think Addison would be the best. she's tough. she's smart. She handles people well. Even if she did cheat on her husband.

I think it's going to be somebody completely different. Someone that isn't even there yet. It's going to be crazy with all of these people vowing for chief. I too think that Burke should become chief but who knows.

I they should get someone new into the show to be the chief. But he will quit somehow because all the interns are manic depressives. Then the competition for whoever to be cheif begins again.

Honestly, after last night, I'd get a kick out of Mark getting the position. Addison would be great, but since she's leaving she's out. And, Derek and Burke are so smug and self righteous, I'd love it if they were both knocked out and the guy they are so sure can't do it would leap ahead of them. And, I don't think there was anything to use Bailey's phrase. It wasn't copyrighted. Although I wouldn't mind a smackdown from her to Mark. That's always fun. But, really, my guess is that Richard won't actually step down. I haven't heard anything about the actor leaving, and if he's not the chief, what will he do?

I'm wondering if maybe Bailey will go off on Sloan and guilt him into fessing up that it was HER work ethics he was showing the board. I think she'd make a great chief, but I also believe she's not high enough up? Maybe an exception could be made and she will get Chief anyways! Of the others, I agree that Addison would be good, but allowing for the spinoff, that doesn't seem plausible, unless she just had re-occurring role on Grey's at the same time, and you didn't see alot of the chief, just being talked about . Burke would be next, then Derek, I agree that he's been way too distracted in his personal life.

I'd be surprised if Sloan gets it, even though they alluded to it. I think Burke or Bailey will get it. McDreamy is too wrapped up with his depressing girlfriend, he's hardly even trying....

honestly, I will be a little upset if Sloan gets the Chief position, just because I don't think he deserves it. We know he's not going with Addison over to her new show, since they've announced the cast, and nobody else from the show is leaving, so I do think he had a good chance of getting it, especially with the way Burke and Shepard acted with their interviews with the board. It's a tough call.

I think Mark Sloan will get the job but that Miranda Bailey is going to give him a piece of her mind.

I agree, I think Sloan will get it. I think Burke would make a good chief but Sloan showed some uncommon heart in helping Meredith the way he did last week so maybe he will be good and we just dont know him well enough yet to see it.
