Do you have a salad/vegetable spinner?

I know they are inexpensive and easy to come by but I've never really thought I need one until recently. I always just washed my veggies and hand dried or let sit to dry but with the recent problems with vegetables, etc. I really think I want to be sure the veggies are washed exceptionally well and therefore might be better off spinning them dry.
Do you have one? Do you use it all the time or let it sit by the wayside?

I just got one. It makes a difference, I think, because the salad is more dry. Also, if you store the lettuce in the spinner and bowl, it stays crisp for a few days after you've washed it. It's nice to just have a salad ready to go in the fridge.

I LOVE my salad spinner!!!! I also never thought I would need anything other than good old water and the drip dry method of cleaning my lettuce/spinach,etc...but since I acquired this little invention last year I can't imagine being without it!!! I use it almost daily and for sure every other day..The first one I bought was the smallest ..thinking that storage would be a problem and that I might not really use it that much..Boy was I wrong!!! I immediately outgrew the little guy and moved on up!!!! I recommend them to everyone..they are affordable and the best part is the difference you see right away!! I washed some spinach and lettuce and spring greens by hand and blotted them with a paper towel...then I just rinsed them in the spinner bowl and spun them...the "stuff" that still came off them was revealed in the bottom of the bowl...ick...that would have been in my salad!! That really sold me!!!

i have had one for a while and had not used it. As you say, with the recent food scares, I am washing more diligently and more thoroughly, therefore I tried drying with the spinner and it was awesome! I love it now and don't know how I functioned without it!

I've never owned one. But I've alwys wanted one. I see the chefs use them on the TV Food Network all of the time. It just looks so easy! I have a problem with too much moisture after lettuce is 'dry' so, I think I would use one alot.

I have a mini one, for both salad and herbs. I like it, although I will admit that I don't use it very often. It was a gift.

I do not have one and didn't want one. I looked at it this way...just another thing to clutter up my cabinets with that won't be used often enough to justify. I am fixing to clean out the cabinets and a lot of things will be tossed. Time to simplfy my life and eliminating some of the things I don't use just makes sense.
