It's time to resolve your discussions!!

It's that time of the month again when everybody is trying to make it to their minimum payout (if they still haven't). We have only 4 days left in this month.
I would like to remind everybody to resolve their discussions, that is to mark to Best Responses on the discussions they've started. Click on "Unresolved discussions" and mark the best response on each discussion.. these discussions then become "resolved" I know most of us know this already but since newbies might come across this discussion too, that's a small note to them:)
Anytime is a good time to mark best responses but better so to do it every month or on a regular basis. That way not only do you show your appreciation of others' responses but also prevent your discussions from piling up in your "Unresolved discussions" I do it often and I know many of my friends here do it too.
I personally have seen a change in my earnings the day I get a best response marked. So for me I feel that when I get a best response it leads to an increase in earnings. Mylot of course has not explicitly stated this anywhere, it's just my observation. It may or may not be true, but I choose to believe my experience.
So, please go and resolve your discussions, help someone reach their minimum payout. I've just resolved all my discussions, and hopefully that has made someone happy and will add to their earnings:)

Thanks for the reminder greengal. I had 2 unresolved discussions, and although I only started one of them earlier today, I got it resolved.
I don't usually resolve them so early, but I figured heck, I have three pages of responses already - how many more can I really expect to get lol.
I can't say I've really noticed a change in my earnings when I get a best response, but then I can't say I've really been watching for it lol. I do find it hard to believe that this month has gone so fast. This month is my first full month at mylot, and it's been eye opening and very enjoyable.
Here's to many more :o)

You are very kind. A saying goes that the aroma of the rose will liger forever when one sends rose to others. Originally I do not care whether my discussions are commented. After all I write just for myself. But later I long for response, why? Because I want to communicate and get help from you. Here, I am honoured to make some friends. I wish myself to be a help to others.

Yes that is right we have to try to get everything up to date I do check mine every day so that I know what is going on and to help my friends and members receive more by doing my best responses and making sure that everything is done and up to date. I do not think any time is a good time to pick your best response I believe that you should leave it for a day or so but no longer than that. You are rght though that when we receive a best response our earnings do increase. That is great that you are all up to date.

thanks for making us remember this important point...I am used to choosing the best response as soon as I find one that I think it is particularly interesting but I think I am having a look at my discussions in order to see if I have unresolved ones...I find it difficult to choose only one best answer because sometimes there are so many nice and important posts but this is what we are supposed to do and therefore let's do it as best as we can...
have a nice day

That was good of you, greengal. Friends indeed need to help and support each other. I had resolved 3 of my previous threads last week. And have yet resolved the latest one. I usually wait for 2 to 3 weeks or until my discussions stayed dormant then I will resolved it right away. I don't know for sure if receiving best response can boost our earnings but hey, let us try to enjoy our time here. Happy posting.

I have also seen that getting a best response is increasing my earnings and I am also trying to give them out in all my discussions, never though about doing it just before mylot starts paying though, but it was a great idea so i am now off to solve my unresolved discussions - Thanx!

I try to resolve my discussions once a week or so.. what do you do when you have a really old discussion with no responses? I have a few of those sitting in my unresolved discussions, and I would like to get rid of them somehow! Any idea how to do this?

Hmm you can't get rid of them but what you can do is tell your friends here that you have discussions with no responses and they might look into it and respond. A few responses is better than none at all and you can choose a best response among those.

LOL - mine are all up to date :) As much as I dislike choicing the best responses (merely because there are so many many excellent responses) I have a system down - if I post a discussion I resolve a discussion. This way I don't end up with a bunch to do at the end of the month and it works out that a discussion stays active for about a week normally - gives lots of time for others to respond.

So what happens if there are unresolved discussions that have no responses? I have 5 myself and as no one responded to these discussions there is no way for me to resolve it. Or is there?
Confused in CA.

Thank you for this reminder I have to go back and do this. I have also noticed the difference in my pay when I do. I have not been on here as much as I would like to be and I do not think I will make enough to get paid this month. But what can you do, I just did not have as much time as would have liked to.

Thanks for the timely reminder, greengal.
I have been trying to rate my best responses too (though for a different reason lol) so that people who responded to my discussions can get paid a little better this month. And I thought that myLot did mention somewhere that we will get paid better if our response was marked as the best. Or had I been thinking too much that I mixed up hope and reality? :P

Thank you for the tip, I don't have many "unresolved" discussions, maybe two or three I think but i will make sure to resolve all before the end of the month. I also wondered if a "best response" will boost our earnings, as you said it's not confirmed but I think it should, i haven't really noticed it myself but I saw other members saying so.

Most of my discussions are resolved. I've only been here 3 days now and I'm nowhere near the minimum payout. I'm wonder if it will take a lot of posting to get to 10 dollars. I still haven't gotten a best response and I'm wondering how that will affect my earnings. Other than that, I've been posting a small amount and I've been trying to get referals. I hope I can make my minimum payout by next month. Some of my discussions have very few responses, and I haven't resolved those yet. Should I resolve them and make somebody happier or should I wait until I get more responses?
