Have you ever accidentally answered a discussion twice?

Yes I have but not in the way you described. I have answered twice a few times because of myLot glitches. Don't get me started on the glitches. :P I usually remember the discussions I answered - since I do read them before answering. But sometimes it may be that I thought I was going to answer later - but when I came back later to answer, I realise I have already put my thoughts into words and submitted them.

Not so far I haven't ... am only new here and not responded to that many that I cannot remember .... but I think it would be possible if you were going back over old discussions. I was warned to watch out for that one .... but I am not sure how it could be stopped. Maybe the answer is only to respond to new discussions but that seems a bit tough .... some old ones are pretty good and worth responding to. I did bring up a discussion the other day .... and was about to answer when I read some of the responses .... and saw I had already responded to it. So I saw something that interested me and just made a comment to that response. Not sure if that was right or not .... but have seen enough people make a response and several comments to other responses ... figured it would be okay since I have seen this happen more than once here on myLot. Don't know the answer to this one ... it can happen and surely myLot would understand that it does ... and not 'punish' the peson who does such a thing. The mylot money would come partly from page views of adverts and that is what happens when a person opens a page, discussion or whatever ... so responding more than once would be earning the site money.

yes, i think i have accidentally done that once in the past... but it is not very often that i do that... and when i do that, it is a pure accident and i didn't do it on purpose... so now i try very hard to remember which discussions i have replied to to avoid replying to the same discussion twice...

Yes, I am guilty of doing this a few times! Some people say that if you rate the discussion then you know you have already answered it if you go back at a later date and see that you have rated it, saves you wasting time in responding again. You always know if you have too when you don't go up a point! It is very easy to do. I usually rely on my notifications from my friends and once I have answered I will delete the email.

Almost but I had a feeling that I already answered that topic so I left not bother checking. This topic has over 40 responses and I am already tired that day so I didn't bother checking. I posted some responses twice a few times but that's computer glitch, somehow it said hit submit twice so I did and there I saw 2 exactly the same responses

yea it has happened sometimes but i have become conscious since then

I have answered the discussions more then once . I am not sure what happens if we do that . I found a way to know if you answered it or not . If you rate your discussion that you answer then when you go to it again you will notice weather or not you responded to it already . Hope this helps :)

I have submitted the same answer twice by mistake, but normally I don't have this problem. I have all my friends discussions emailed to me so I answer them first. Then I tend to just answer discussions with no responses and then I know that I haven't answered them already.

Yes, I have accidentally answered a discussion twice. I had hit the 'post response' button below and I received a little mylot message saying 'please try later', so thinking it didn't post I hit the post response button again. My reply ended up posting twice because of this. Other than that little blunder I do try to be careful about responding to a discussion twice, though I wouldn't be surprised if I accidentally do it as I cannot remember all of the posts I reply to, even if I do write them down (I've only started doing this). There are so many discussions on here, I'm bound to make a mistake like that on occasion. I'm only human after all. And I hope mylot is understanding to this and won't hold it against me.

No I have never done that.usually i remember which discussions i answered to already.the only time i could see that happening is if my computer is malfunctioning. its easy to remember just look through the discussion really quick and look for your name.

I don´t think so, but I might have done it by mistake. I have submitted the same answer twice though and the secound one just got deleated. One thing good is if u always rate the persons discussion (that u are replying to) wih a +, that way if u come back, you see that u haverated it, and probably responded to it. This is what I do =)

yah you are right!!!but theres a problem if you answered twice?

ya one time it is happened with me.and one time i alos give the same comment on the respone of a person at twice time.

As there are so many similar discussions in mylot, sometimes I really get confused on whether i have answered to a particular discussion or not, so in order not to answer to the same discussion twice, I will try to check whether I had answered to that discussion or not before I reply to itif i have doubt on it. It is very embarasing you are not answering the discussion in the same way, so I think it is important to check before we are going to asnwer a similar discussion.

I don't have that much posted response yet so I don't have problems remembering threads that I already respond to except sometimes, there are threads with similar topics so that's the time when I have to check first whether I already replied to it or not. But I am a really forgetful person so maybe when time comes that I have that big number of posts, I might find it difficult then. And with the number of threads started here in mylot I think it's understandable why there are lots of similar threads.

I guess not. I just pressed the enter button twice and ther it is. I have the same reply to the same question. I guess that is not my mistake. It was the ineternet or tools. sorry for that. Do good!
