Language Teacher

I am Spanish teacher and for me the most important thing, especially in basic levels, is to make sure the students acquire tons of vocabulary. To to this I've been using Total Physical Response which involves a lot of mime and role playing. It works great, especially for me because I like to be active. Storytelling and constant exposure to reading material is a great help when teaching a language too.

I'm an English Language instructor. Yes, speaking is important. I use solely English during lessons. As most of my pupils are not native speakers of the language, they have to follow my instructions. Reading aloud with proper guidance can help pupils to speak better. Next, practising the grammar by writing sentences. Learning any language is an intergration of the 4 main skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.

I teach conversational English in Thailand. To me the only way to learn a language is to speak it. An important secondary consideration is to learn to read in that language. Grammar is important but should not be the overriding concerned. The first and most important thing is to be able to communicate.

i'm so happy to learn that you teach my native language in Indonesia. i think as language teachers, we should try to provide students with enough input and give them more opportunities to produce output. that's the principle we should stick to. then we can carry out various teaching activities according to this principle.

I used to be English private teacher. I think if you are asking about the system, maybe better for us teach the language in more verbal and active in conversation. I think this will help a lot to make the students remember many words. When I was a child, I'm so confidence when I can have many vocabularies in my mind and can write it in right spelling. Even though I knew that in English is also depend on the grammar to speak well, but I think if the teacher thought me first in grammar... until now I'm afraid to talk in English. I also learn Mandarin in verbal with my parents, and it also helping me when I took courses, more easy to understand when we know many vocabularies and after that we can make sentences from those parts :)
