When you do set a goal for yourself it becomes a sticky in your mind. Something that will push you to get to that point and keep nagging till you do it.
Rather than just yeah I’m thinking of doing it, or I’ll get to it someday write it down and make it a point to reference yourself everyday and see how much you have accomplished so far.
Do you have any goals for yourself? It doesn’t need to be connected to the web. I have many life goals as well some which I will share some I may not, let us know yours by commenting.
Have a nice day from deeeky.

Hi Deeeky, I think some goals are more important than others, I always find making lists and ticking them off as you go is a good way to achieve some of the simpler goals in life (Like jobs to do round the house, organising packing for a holiday for instance!) I don't think I would stick to a long-term tick off list for more difficult to achieve goals but I do make a mental note! My goal at the moment is setting up some more projects at work i'm half way there by producing a database, then I have to do some samples and send them out! Getting there but it will take me a few weeks as I've got other projects on the go too!

Oh I like to keep busy and I'm sure there are goals that I probably won't achieve in life, but it won't be for trying that's for sure! Thanks for your best response!

Funny that you would ask this as just last week I wrote a post about setting goals and staying motivated. I have many goals for myself and some of I have met. One of the goals is to have my second online community be as successful as my first. Sometimes it gets frustrating dealing with the same stuff day in day out, but I'm dedicated. I think one important factor in reaching goals is dedication and motivation.

Yes, I feel its very important for us. A man without goal is a man without life. In order succeed in life, we must make a primary goal and in order to succeed that goal, we must make some small secondary goals.

I've met a lot of my more minor goals in life but I suppose I have two to fulfill that are somewhat larger. The first one will make you laugh... that is to give Jimmy the Jock a sound beating and knock him back a peg or two. I'm constantly flitting in and out of there in an effort to sneak up on him. ha ha ha. Chuck could do with a wee lesson too! Catapults and hot cross buns, indeed! hah! :-) Naaaaaa, only kidding but one has to laugh at life every so often.
My main goal in life, having seen my kids grown, with families and reasonably steady lives, albeit one moreso than the other, is to better myself as much as I possibly can whilst I'm walking this Earth, and in the process, to help others along their paths to bettering themselves. This is a very important thing with me, in my culture and my path through life. I just want to live the rest of my life out at peace with myself and others, in the knowledge that I have helped them to the same point in life.
Brightest Blessings, my dear friend.

This is quite true. Goals are very important and if we don't have one then there's no impetus for us to do do something worthwhile.
My goals in life are:
finish my masters this year and then go on with another field of study which is psychology. Then maybe get married this year as what I mentioned earlier LOL!
Another goal is to play or own and play a saxophone. Hope it would be materialize in the near future.
And this one is quite a dream: to drive a mini. It seems like impossible but I am very determined on this one. Hopefully it will happen one day.

I have some may books and journals with goals and dreams. They are all similar, but I have a difficult time keeping promises to myself. Last month, I set up three goals at the beginning of the month. Three small goals. I did not complete them and forgot about them. I am trying again this month. I need help.

I set myself a lot of silly goals , get my ironing done in a certain time , be everywhere early ( always manage that one ) never tell lies unless its a wee white one so not to hurt someones feelings ( live by that one) set myself 50 responses a day to others posts and answer and rate all mine ( manage it most days) I set myself a lot of goals and it frustrates me if I can't reach them xx

Yes, I have many goals for myself, unfortunately they are taking a while to finish. But my ultimate goals are to be a good mother, and good person. But as for the little goals, today I am focused on getting all of the laundry done, which is quite a feat, as I have two small children one 3 and one 6 months, so between all the laundry they, myself anf my guy make, as well as tending to them, it is quite grooling, but I think I can do it.

Yes i do have a lot of goals for myself and i really like to pursue all of them, but of course i cant do that instantly so what im doing is that, im taking it step by step, slowly but surely.
I am taking my time and making sure that all the things that im doing is would be good for my self and for my goals.
We have something like goals set for ourselves and we have to do something for it.
I do admire those people who's trying so hard to fulfill their dreams and i do admire those people who tried their best and being successful now in their lives.
Have a nice day ahead from Francis.

Well i have found setting goals for me is a way of life that keeps me motivated for whatever comes my way. I find that when you whole world seems all mess up that having goals help alot to keep you going. Right now my life is in a total mess not making ends meet financially and relationship problems single mom and child raising problems they just seemed like they hit all at once. I have found having my fitness and weight lose goals as well as my career goals and money saving goals and so on and watching the progress of achieveing those goals have really helped me stay motivated to move on even in the worst of times. So you see goals to me are a life saver because it gives you a reason and drive to carry on even when you feel like all is lost. Have a good day yourself deeeky i know i will.

I completely agree with you. My intentions are simple but I repeat them to myself every day.
I intend...
to become a better person
to live in abundance and prosperity
to love unconditionally
to never stop learning
to accept and love others the way they are
to live in peace and joy every day
to enjoy simple things like nature
to love and accept myself the way I am
So be it.

Setting goals is really important. Because if you have goals, you will always remember that, you will follow that. You are setting your mind to let it come true, you are strictly and prohibiting your self to do something and everything just to let it happen. and you are becoming confident to let it happen.

I just made a "discussion" about short term goals and achievements and listed them here on mYLot. I'm beginning to see how I see so many repetitive posts and discussions lol. But instead of repeating my goals I'll share a little bit about how I try to make them a realization.
I'm a list person, and work my way down, its the only way I find I get things done or reach a goal that seems unobtainable, take it one step at a time and try to always start at the beginning. Good luck with all your goals and all that you achieve. :)

YAA its very to set a goal before starting anything evrything must be well planned. before carrying out a task we should visualise the output first.I try to practice this everyday but somhow i really dont come up to my own expectations.I dont ever loose hope rather am trying to inculcate this in me.
