When I am day-dreaming (ahem, in order words I am not asleep) I often think about what it would be like to live on a island. My favorite right now is Great Sale Cay in the bahamas. It's about 30 miles total area, and is in the north-west area of the bahamas. Would you be able to leave your current life to live on an island?

hula girl......................................... - island life...................................................
Actually no I don't dream of living on an island...because I already do live on an island...the island of Maui.It is great! We have so much fruit growing around us we could actually live off of it & alot of people do.We have in our yard Mango trees, banana trees, coconut and avacodoes...it's great! And our weather is nice 99.9 percent of the time...the worst weather we really ever experience is some heavy rains at times...but after they're done there's always a rainbow & everything is all the more greener.I can't complain about island life, it's great. And different from the mainland people here take time & have time to talk to you and sincerely care. The islands are the best place to live as far as I'm concerned!

Must be pretty nice. Sounds like a really cool scene. Unfortunately, in reality, i'm not sure if I could live away from the mountains. Need a mountainy island I guess.

I was born and raised in one and it is an amazing feeling which unfortunately back then I feel I did not appreciate as I should have. Now, that I live in Georgia, even though I love it here, sometimes I dream about my old days at the beach, the rain forest, or the relax, laid back kind of living. Good thing I can go back and relax anytime.
