I think each one of them proved over and over how talented they were. However, I think Paul played the most instruments.

I would say, Paul, in all instances, tried to master anything he could get his hands on!
He was, and maybe, still is, "The Perfectionist!"

I'll say John, then George, then Paul, then Ringo.John seemed musically AND lyrically inclined, George seemed to take his sound seriously, Paul seems more pop/catchy lyrical,lol, and Ringo...well he did learn to play drums riight handed, when he was left handed so I guess that took dedication, but I'll stay with my original order.

I think Paul was the best instrumentalist. Listen to his bass lines... For that era, well, he sure scaled a lot.
