What do you do when there's nothing to do at my lot?

I've been having one of those days, where I've gone through all my friends discussions and realized I've responded to them all and the remaining ones, well, I don't have much to say to them.
Then I checked out discussions from my interests, found a few, responded and then searched for more but couldn't find any.
I exhausted all the pages, but just can't seem to find any discussion I want to answer today. And the worst of it is that I don't even have any ideas on starting a new discussion either. I commented and rated all of my discussions, I've checked out my best responses, replied to them, checked out everything, and now I don't know what to do.
so, has this ever happened to you? what do you do when you have nothing to do on my lot?

ive had days like that. i just stop for a couple of days and take a break. after awhile it all looks the same to me, and the fun of responding and discussions get boring to me. i don't understand how some people can be on here all the time. its too hard to think up stuff to discusss, and some of the discussions are not things i care to talk about. it seems the friends stop responding as well after awhile. so i just take a break.

I turn off the computer and go find something else to do! If I'm at the point I'm *looking* for something else to do on Mylot, then it's time for me to leave for awhile.
Somedays I can spend hours on here typing away....starting and responding to discussions. Other days I don't even sign in to MyLot. Just depends on my mood and if I have a life going on outside the MyLot world! LOL

I have a routine of being on the computer in the mornings too. It does seem weird to turn it off and do something else? Thanks for the best response!

Well, that's what i did then too, turned off the pc and played me some GTA, but still it hadn't even been 3 hours until I'd been online and I'd been doing other stuff too, I'm just used to spending at least 4-5 hours online every morning before I resume the rest of my day.

I have never in my time since I joined my lot, responded to a 100 discussions in one day, I don't think I even hit 50, I don't know how people can do that, it's even time consuming to look for a discussion to respond to, not to mention, then coming up with a good response for it, I guess it's just the one-liners who do that.

What do you do when there's nothing to do at my lot? Well, honestly, I do a lot of soundtrippings and play games on my PC. Of course it'll be terrible if you're online and just doing nothing. Another thing that I do is visit friendster and make a lot of friends.. It's fun too.. =)

Well that is about the time when my house actually gets cleaned. Really I get so caught up on this mylot thing it takes a day that I can't find anything to post too that I actually get my house work done. However I haven't had one of those days for a while now and my house is really needing my attention. I do have a couple of businesses too so it's not every day that I can spend too much timeon anything. So my businesses go first then mylot then my house work. May sound strange but for the most part I have a husband who actually doesn't make a mess and cleans up after himself so it isn't much of a problem.

I'm having one of those days also. Nothing worth answering. I've read all of my email notices and deleted most of them. I've gone through several pages of my friends discussions to see if I missed any. I guess now, I'll try new discussions, or recent discussions and maybe hot discussions. After that...time to give up and go to bed!

If this kind of situation came to me I just take a break and relax maybe eat some food or watch tv. Plus there are other things to do in the internet..its such a wide room that the options aren't limited.
I'm trying to maximize my free time not just for mylot but to other stuff too.

I do that too, the new user discussions but sometimes get bored of it, because they're all the same and I hate repeating myself, i mean in typing or copying and pasting, sometimes i ache for a good discussion but can't find one, and am not specific enough to start one either, that's when I feel like there's nothing to do.

I only spend three hours maximum here. If I have already responded to my friends' discussions, have made comments on some discussions that need them, have responded to discussions under my interests, and have checked out those with no responses, etc., I just log out and watch TV. There are also times when I would just look at profiles and read through other people's discussions, because I could have been too lazy to respond (I have those days, too), or just couldn't think of any new discussion to post. Watching TV is a good alternative for me, especially after all my work for the day has already been accomplished. I have a full-time teaching job. After I get home, I eat and finish up everything that my work requires. After that is myLot (for 3 hours) and then TV. Happy myLotting to you!

When I dont find anything to do on mylot that looks to me as if I need a break from mylotting for a while. Just try it yourself. Leave the mylot community for itself for just a couple of days and go more outside for walks, do some extravagant cooking, talk more to your friens in real live. And after a couple of days you come back here again and just feel re-newed and fresh. Idea?

well, you make it sound like I'm on my lot the whole day, no, that's not it, I do have a life outside of it as well, but sometimes even the 3or 4 hours i spend here aren't exhausted before I run out of things to do.
And I don't wanna take a couple of days off, I'll miss it too much.

Theres' never been a time where I've exhausted all the discussion pages here.I haven't had all the time to do it i guess. But there have been lot of times when i run outta discussions. As you can see i seldom start a new discussion.
There have also been times when i don't feel like answering certain discussions just because i don't feel it for them.At these situations i just check edit my profile,do some modifications to it and stuff like that.

Well, to me it happens a lot of times, because some days i make a lot of responses, and exhaust all my friends discussions then I have to wait for them to start some more, so that I can answer those, and that's only if I'll have anything to say to those.
Plus it's tricky starting your own discussions, I've been on a roll these past few days, but in March, I hardly started any discussions at all.

yup, did that too, did i not mention that?
Well, i went through all of those tabs and there were lots of new users who had asked questions about my lot and help topics but they'd already got the answers from some other my lotters, i didn't have much to add so I didn't.

I've had days like this too to be honest. Not very often but it does happen.
When I can't find anything to do on Mylot I usually surf on through some other sites, or I play The Sims for a while lol.
The only danger with that is in getting addicted again :o)

I have never found myself at a loss with what to do at mylot. Well sometimes I run out of discussions to respond to because it seems that I've exhausted all of them but when this happens I usually just upload pictures until I reach my maximum upload for the day. Thankfully, now we can comment on blogs featured here in mylot and get paid for it so we have an additional activity to turn to when we are stumped for new discussions or we can't find a discussion to respond to.

I have this kind of days sometimes especially now after my early days of mylot are over, I used to respond to almost anything as I was trying to reach payout level; but I don't feel the same now, I find it hard sometimes to respond to anything and days has passed without me starting any new discussions.. Well, when I feel this way I just go to sleep or watch TV or a movie or go somewhere else online.. It's not an obligation for me to finish an X number of posts daily now, mylot is great but it loses the fun if we will do it as a job, my early days was different with the thrill of something new and everything and every topic was new for me, now it's all repeated and new things are just few.

yeah, well it's the same for me, before I just couldn't stop seeing discussions I could write to, now i have to search for them, and not just search for any but the ones where I can really say something and go on and on and express my ideas on it. Otherwise those discussions on 'what's your favorite color' are a dime a dozen here, but I can't really say much on those, so I would rather not respond to them.
