There is this kid in California (I am in Ohio) that keeps calling our cell phone and asking for Red. my husband has repeatedly told him that he has the wrong number, that this Red person must have given him the wrong number and yet this kid keeps calling. As we are on a differnt time than Cali, these calls are coming late at night. I am at the end of my rope. I don't want to change our number as it is the number that everyone has but I am not sure what else to do. Does anyone have any advice? I was thinking about the next time he calls answering the phone in Spanish and speaking Spanish to him. But my luck would be that this kid speaks it as well.

Wow!! I'm sorry to hear that makes me wonder how old this kid is. May be you should ask to speak to the kids parents lol. If he is that young i would want to speak to the kids parents. Other wise i would try what the other commenter stated. call your phone company and see what can be done. I'm sure they can block that specific number. I think the only thing then would be if he decided to call from another phone lol. Then that would be a hassel. You may be only left with changing your number. Good luck to you!!!

He sounds to be about 13 or so, but it is so hard to tell. I did play around with the idea of calling the number back and asking for one of the parents, but I am to much of a coward. lol

I am trying to work on the assertiveness! lol It's slow in coming. But I think you are right. If my kid was calling long distance I would most certainly want to know about it!

I am glad you already have a great advice because those calling can be so annoying.Mean sometimes you are annoyed by your relatives(even is not nice...)but someone you don't know him must be very frustrating.. I remember for a problem like yours i had to change my phone number... augusta

I had a friend who had to change her number to get this guy to stop calling her. I just don't understand people!

Have you tried calling the phone company & having the number blocked? I'm pretty sure you can do that here. Also, phone companies recycles phone numbers, if someone cancels their phone number the phone company puts it back in to the system so it can be given to someone else in that area. Sorry to hear it's been so often but you should try that spanish thing & see what happens, if it doesn't work definitely try calling your provider & see if there's any way they can have their number blocked from calling yours. It's definitely worth a try! Good luck!
