Do you think it is important to have faith?
For me I want to have faith because it helps me to live. I live by faith in Jesus. I am not asking about a specific religious faith I am asking about faith in general and whether that is something important to you.

I believe that faith is a built-in function we have as human beings. There is absolutely no certainty that the sun will rise tomorrow, but still we act as if it will. I act today in order to achieve tomorrow's goals, but who is to say that I won't be the victim of a hit-and-run this afternoon? So we all have faith in the future, at least. But that's hardly always justified, is it? But we just couldn't go on without it, life would be a meaningless chain of activities. And if it's in our genes, I don't understand why religions claim the monopoly for it.

There are lots of people on Mylot who have started or participated in discussions concerning religious beliefs. Of course everyone has the right to believe in what they want but unfortunately there is a tendency for many to think that their way is the only way and that it is the correct way. They believe that others with different beliefs are simply lost, or misguided and are following the wrong path.
For me faith is not enough.
