Competition or just for fun?

I am interested in knowing how many of you who either own or ride horses on a regular basis compete. Or do you enjoy horses just for the enjoyment? If you do compete, in which discipline/events do you compete? .

roanfilly I have horses for the pure enjoyment of it! I ride only for pleasure, but I often take my chilren and 2 or 3 horses to small local shows. One daughter shows English. One daughter does Western, and one shows either, depending on which horse she wants to ride....

do horses sit to rest????

well i have heard that horses sit only when they are not welll..the rest of the time they keep standing...according to u is it true????they really dont sit at all in a day?????
