Is there any sites to learn painting & drawing?

I always used to love painting & drawing from childhood.I have not taken any class but i used to it prity good.Now i want to learn it from sratch. So is there any site from which i can get free class or lessons?

Do you recommend painting with oils or water colors?

I started painting about 7 months ago. I have only painted with acrylics on canvas so far. What do you recommend? Should I try oils or water colors next. How do they differ from using acrylics?

rtutsky Hi Anne, I haven't used acrylics since my college days at Paier School of Art. Back then they didn't have the retarders to slow the drying time of acrylic paint as they do now. I always thought that the colors of acrylic paint looked a bit dead and chalky...

rtutsky Hi shar, Here's an idea that you can try that won't cost you anything but in time can get you some exposure... Set up your own blog on http://blogspot.com. It's Google's own blog program and there are a ton of folks who paint that have a blog through them....
