AnneMarie39 I think it's about what we perceive. I have friends, but my good friends all live out of state. I could say I have no friends locally, but I do they just aren't what I would call good friends. So, that's why I say it's about perception.

AnneMarie39 I think there is a difference between hitting and spanking. It sounds like you spanked your son. Hitting implies abuse. I don't think a wack on the bottom with your hand once or twice is abuse. So, no you're not a bad mom.
