How often you reformat the hard drive of your computer?

I reformat my computer's hard drive every year. This is to have a fresh installation of Windows and other applications. Of course I do backup my data before reformat. How about you guys?

sackofnoise I format my pc like six or seven times a year, sometimes i just format and reinstall windows and sometimes i just feel like installing linux, of course i always backup a bunch of files to another partition...

sackofnoise I just use windows defender with windows vista home premium, i don't see any reason to use a bunch of software who are gonna slow my pc, i just try not to go on any harming website and when my pc get a little slow or get any kind of spyware, i format and...
