public or private schools for our youth

shasha13 Thats my dilemma. I like the idea of private schools but we are not a Christian family, or anything close to being Christian. Putting our son in a Christian school would be ridiculous.

Any historical re-enactors, LARPers, SCA, Rocky Horror fans, Cosplay enthusiasts etc here? Just curious about what you enjoy dressing up as and what lengths you go to in order to develop your costuming skills.

shasha13 well it is based on the Renaissance. I have several friends who are into historical reenactment. And they helped me choose my costume, so it could be as accurate as possible.

shasha13 Yes you definitely lucked out in the sense that your location is perfect for a public school. In the part of California I was raised in we always had somewhere between 29-35 students per class. It was awful and alot of kids fell through the cracks. I am not...

shasha13 Yes I really think I would. There just seems to be a better focus on education at private schools. The teachers make more money and as a result are more into their jobs.

shasha13 My favorite costume is my Renne Faire costume. I unfortunately have no sewing talent what so ever so I bought mine at Faire a couple years back. It cost me a fortune but I love it.
