Unless Im buying something I tend to use an alias when talking with others. I was wondering how many other people do this??

VotreAmie HI showmethecash and welcome to mylot if you are new. I use an alias on the Internet because it's safer. If I become really friends with someone for a long time and I see that we can trust each other then I can give my real name to the person.

Koalemos Mylot is really the only place that I tend to interact with others to any degree, but I would not be likely to use my real name anyway. I see no danger or problem with the use of my real name, but it has always been considered good practice to avoid this.

carlena1 I use my real name mostly. Now I am thinking it might not be a good idea. Your way is probably best-stick with it

Do you ever just hit plus signs to rate everyone regardless of how you feel about the comment they made!!! I like to do it when I see people with a 9, I feel like I can help them be a 10 lol..... or is this a bad thing to do??...

Michele21 That is kinda funny...I never have done that though, I don't notice peoples ratings =) I almost always rate everyone a + though...all the responces to my discussions and the ones I respond to.
