starsfield I believe you can change the processor as long as the socket match, processor is small chips located at the bottom of your heatsink(between motherboard and fan+heatsink), it should be replacable in any motherboard.

starsfield Restore points will just save your current system configuration and its not meant to be used as backup. Its better to backup your important files than backup the 'restore points'.
