surefoot autozone, sounds stupid but they know who all the town mechanics are and can point you in the right direction. contact the manufacturer or the applicator ie boat maker or what ever it was used for in the first place

we want to know, the correct possition of the crankshaft gear thooth and the camshaft timing mark. we owened a corvette 1986, V8 5.7ltr/350 (C4), and we are rebuilding the motor with a new camshaft 268/290 and new timing chain...

surefoot rotate crank intill roter passes number one spark plug contact in distributer cap and #1 piston is in the up position. place the cam so that the cam lobes areone to the left and one to the right of center. install chain. rotate crank a little and the next...
