What do you think causes Autism?

I just wondered if some of you have some other ideas about what causes it. Do you think it's a physical or mental problem?

sweeta5 I have read extensively on the subject and I would have to agree with what you are saying. As a teacher for many years I honestly can not remember having chidlren with these symptoms in my classes when I first started teaching. I know that in the early 70s...
