what is the best beginners acoustic guitar?

Hi guys, I want to start playing the acoustic guitar. As you can guess I have no idea on whats good and whats bad. Could anyone recommend me a decent Acoustic guitar that isnt stupidly expensive.

swimmerboyzrg Yamaha makes great acoustic and electric-acoustics. you always get more than you pay for. i'm not even a beginner, and i just picked up a great electric-acoustic for 300 the other day. it has been great so far, and all there hybrids have great pre-amps

swimmerboyzrg i know it cliche, but comfortably numb. no other solo has the ability to raise the hair on the back of my neck every time i hear it like the gilmours second solo on cn does. its amazing

swimmerboyzrg i would have to say The Grateful Dead. As a 16 year old deadhead, i never got to see j-bear, he died right around the time i was born. even though phil is still touring, he's nothing like jerry. i would have loved to follow them around for 20 or so concerts

Is Pink Floyd meant to be heard on drugs? or can sober people enjoy?

So what do you think? does this beautiful music require a "stoned" ear, or is it equally as beautiful to the sober listener, or does in fact being stoned enhance the experience, does anyone have an opinion on this?
