theartofmegan Nah, no elvis for us, we're getting married in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. That's partially why i'm making my dress, since it's hard to find a dress that won't drag through the sand.

theartofmegan In the long run, making my dress is looking like it will save me at the very least $500 dollars. So technically, I'll be saving quite a bit of money.

theartofmegan Nancy, that's an excellent idea! The pattern I'm using has a shorter skirt version, so maybe I'll make a little cocktail dress with the same bodice style in a cheaper material so I can get the hang of it. :)
